TVF's ASPIRANTS - Episode 1 Watchalong

After a long wait, here it is! Just so you know, for this particular watchalong reaction, we've kept the episode on screen like we used to for TVF shows back in the good old days. We figured that since this is on their youtube channel, and not behind a pay wall like Netflix or TVF Play, we would publish it like a regular reaction so no need to sync up any videos this time.
Also, to throw it back to the good old days when we could just react to TVF and share the full reaction, we're making this available to ALL PATRONS regardless of tier.
Hope you guys enjoy watching the show with us. Please don't get used to this for all watchalongs going forward as this is a very rare event. Anyhoo....hope you're all well and having a fab weekend.

IAS officers are the ones who RUN the nation from Principal Secretary for the Prime Minister to Distirct Magistrates for States. I would advise you all to google a little about Disctrict Magistrate to get the context of Naveen Kasturia's position.

2021-06-20 19:29:08 +0000 UTCIn order to make you understand things better, here are some points. Please reas this, it will be easier for you to understand the show. 1. UPSC is second toughest exam in the world. The one who get through it becomes IAS (Indian administrative services) officer. 2. There are 3 phases of this exam a) Pre (Prelims) : first part of this exam. You need to clear it to reach to the next one (Mains) b) Mains : Second part, you need to pass Pre in order to appear for this. c) Interview : You need to appear for personal interview after clearing part a and b. Now, after part a, b and c are cleared, you will have a IAS training from LBSNAA ( Lal Bahadur Shashtri national academy of administration). You will hear the word LBSNAA quite a few times in the show, so make a note of it. Apart from that, you will also hear another exam named PCS (Provincial Civil Services) in the show. It is nothing but another civil services exam. Mostly people who prepare for UPSC keep PCS exam as their secondary option if UPSC is not cleared. In shorts, PCS is a plan B for upsc aspirants.

It was a decent first episode…wish they had not used the uplifting background music so much. They could have reserved it for one moment in the episode, probably would have been more impactful.
