So I know this is an old post, but just wanted to share that this episode carried me through a 7 hour wait at the Spokane Amtrak Station, and it has just the right level of comedy for that type of circumstance.

2024-05-12 22:00:28 +0000 UTCAs a former Air Force air traffic controller and someone who's undergraduate came from an aviation school as well as his master's degree I will say there have been aviation accidents that were attributable to cultures that have an over deferential attitude towards authority. What these racist fucks leave out is that the largest of these was caused by a Dutch KLM captain decided his runway was clear and ran his 747 into another 747 killing well over 300 people. An accident that was directly caused by no one questioning this captain's decision and in case anyone's missing out on this the Dutch are like the whitest of white. Drives me bonkers when I see real opportunities for the advancement of something like safety being hijacked by racist morons.
