Podcasting Day: Behind the Corey with Jason Pargin 🌭
Added 2023-02-22 13:00:02 +0000 UTCIt's Dogg Zzone 9000 Day, and we invited our dear friend and bestselling author, Jason Pargin, on to promote his next book, Zoey is Too Drunk for This Dystopia. You can pre-order it now! Jason is a brilliant veteran of multiple media industries and can speak with expertise on any number of topics. We chose Corey Feldman. Listen here, or wherever you get podcasts!
Corey "The Comeback King" Feldman is entering the fourth decade of his music career which long ago merged with his sex trafficking career, and he usually waffles between obscurity and humiliation. A Corey Feldman performance is like a car crash because you can't dance to it and there are girls who need to be rescued. He is living proof that fame, ambition, titties, hard work, and a cutthroat attitude might still get you nowhere. Of the cast of The Lost Boys, he only has the seventh best band and the eighth best sex cult.

As much as I enjoy podcasts where you clue me in to some great movie or tv show I never saw before, there’s something cathartic about the shows where you spend the entire runtime telling me exactly why a celebrity sucks. I thought Corey Feldman was just a has-been but he’s so much more than that!

2023-02-25 12:40:26 +0000 UTCNo shit, one day after I listened, somebody shared one of those "poor Corey" images about how he tried to expose sexual abuse in Hollywood and I had to stop myself.

2023-02-23 16:35:23 +0000 UTCWhen I relisten to this episode I'll keep track of how many times "tragic" was used.

2023-02-23 11:58:43 +0000 UTCI just want to thank you for being such a loyal fan of the site, I see you on here commenting almost every day and that core of loyal followers is what keeps operations like this alive. I still remember the first really passionate fans I had back in my early blogging days and the way they kept me going even when as a business it didn't feel like it was going anywhere. In this particular stage of the internet economy it means even more. You never forget those people, even if you lose touch with them over time.

2023-02-22 22:01:35 +0000 UTCI'm actually watching Pig right now and goddamn that man can bring it when he wants to. There is no doubt in my mind he's going to get that pig back or die trying.

2023-02-22 18:09:00 +0000 UTCIf what most people do in films is called "acting," it is only right that there be another word to describe what Nicolas Cage does.

2023-02-22 17:11:58 +0000 UTCCorey Feldman is fascinating to me. I was right in that sweet spot growing up where I thought he was super fucking cool and wanted to go on adventures with him like in Goonies and Stand By Me. And then he dissapeared for a bit and all this other shit started coming to light. I... I just can't look away. It will never stop being interesting to me. I love it each and evertime you guys go into a Corey dive. Thank you!

2023-02-22 16:29:28 +0000 UTC...Corey Feldman mashed up Jinglebell Rock with Mars Bringer of War?

2023-02-22 15:26:43 +0000 UTCI'm actually surprised by how positive they were about Feldman, considering that they didn't bring up any of the rape allegations against him.

2023-02-22 15:00:42 +0000 UTCI listen to these on my way to and from work, so like a fifteen minute commute. So I am going to be listening to an extensive, two-hour, mega-Corey-Feldman breakdown podcast for the next like four days. I don't actually know who Corey Feldman is, I've only seen like one of his movies, and I'm really only familiar with him from outside references. But for some reason I'm also super excited to listen to it. Also Nicolas Cage prefers the term "thespian" instead of "actor". He is also the only person on earth who is able to pull off having this opinion.
