Evie, you crack me up! The first thing you saw Rollo and you were worried about him. Don't worry, he lives a normal life in terms of years, but he's Ian's dog so you have to know he's going to have adventures.

An robberies were a real problem back then .So the fact they got there stuff stolen . Made it more realistic and made the episode good . There's gonna be a lot of adventures I hope in this season . An Claire has the worst luck ever or is it just me .

But, of course in true Outlander fashion, we know the shit will hit the fan. For me, that ending was genius. That horrible scene with that beautiful song overlaid atop of it... Perfection! The contrast between the idea of "The American Dream" with this gorgeous anthem playing & then showing the reality of how evil people can really be... Like I said, for me, Perfection:) So glad you loved this start to season 4:)

2022-10-04 03:29:03 +0000 UTCI hate that Bonnet used Jamie’s friendship with Hayes to manipulate them into helping him. Jamie will never forgive himself for letting Bonnet go after what he did to them. Honestly, I hate that last scene and anytime I watch this episode, I tend to stop it before that scene and move on to episode 2. Evie, you asked if it was a coincidence that Bonnet robbed them. He was in the back of their wagon when Claire and Jamie were talking about getting money for the jewel, so he knew they would be coming into money that he could steal. As I mentioned in a reply to Nessie, Caitriona has mentioned that she put a lot in that final scene and they ended up taking all the dialogue out and let the scene unfold as “America The Beautiful” was playing which worked really well, but I still hate that scene and avoid it as much as possible. I think it really bothers me that Claire lost Jamie’s ring. Did you notice Jamie wasn’t wearing a gray wig at that fancy dinner like the other men? I think a lot of people complained from season 3 when he wore that wig in Jamaica. Evie, I believe that rude woman at that dinner was motioning to her hair and asking if Claire’s hairstyle was the style in Scotland. I loved all the smiles, tears and squeals throughout the episode when they revealed Marsali was pregnant and when Jamie gave her that gift. Phew… it’s hard to believe it’s been 24 years since their arranged marriage! And then it all went to hell at the end.

The Exceptional Season Opener of Season 4, undoubtedly a personal favorite of mine... and she REALLY FELT This Extraordinary Episode in so many wonderful and heart-warming ways, until... She Exclaimed; "I HATE this show! This show HATES me! Bonnet BITCH!!!" To that most appropriate reaction.. I say, to Evie... and all... Welcome to a wondrously adventurous masterpiece of a season! (season 4 super hint: retain as much of the dialog/actions in this episode as you can... it will ALL come back over a perfectly written season to come). Special shout out for the late Ray Charles singing: ~ America The Beautiful.

Hope you are doing well ;) Well....you were finally introduced to Bonnet......and...A lot (too much) to say about him but...he's the character I HATE THE MOST, right after Jack Randall of course...but very close. And the ending of this episode was HEARTBREAKING. I cry every time I watch it. The music adds a lot to it too. Welcome to season 4...🥺I like this season a lot too, because we see other things (even if I miss Scotland) and the fact that it is so close to American revolution is very interesting. A lot will happen again here, I hope you are ready for the riiiiiide ! 😜
