Monster souls go to purgatory and eve has access to purgatory. If she turns humans to monsters she is taking a soul that would have gone to heaven or hell and is putting it were she has access instead making her more powerful.

When Dean tells Cass that without his powers he is just a baby in a trench coat, Misha actually forgot his next line, so he looked out the window and Jared improvised in the moment by whispering “I think you hurt his feelings” they are so good and know their characters so well by now and Jensen played it off so well. It must’ve been funnier than what was originally written because they decided to leave it in the episode Evie, “Jefferson Starship” was a rock band in the 70’s through the early 80’s and since Dean named the hybrid monsters that saying they’re “horrible and hard to kill” I don’t think he was a fan of their music lol. When Cass goes back to the diner at the end and talks to Crowley, the song that the jukebox plays is called Miracles by Jefferson Starship What I was thinking regarding Eve was that now if the mother of all monsters is dead, doesn’t that mean that there will be no new monsters created which will make Sam and Dean’s job easier as they kill more and more monsters they can start to get the numbers down. I dunno, just a thought, although some monsters can make more themselves like vampires🤷🏻♀️ Regarding the souls, It’s been a while since I’ve seen this storyline and I don’t want to give anything away, but I believe Crowley is trying to collect as many souls as possible because they are very valuable and powerful and he wants to become more powerful. As to why Cass knew he was still alive… you’ll have to keep watching 😜

I believe monster souls go to purgatory, not hell or Heaven, and Crowley can’t currently access purgatory. So, If everyone gets turned into a monster, all souls would belong to Eve because purgatory is her turf, and then Crowley couldn't access them at all.

I feel like they dumbed Sam and Dean down a bit in that moment to make them think that taking the boys back was a good idea, when they were in the middle of hunting the most dangerous creature ever, haha
