The dialogue when asking Jamie not to shave the beard is almost straight from the book. In the book however, Jamie had grown quite a beard as the search for Claire had taken some time (during which he had become Captain and leader of all the men on the Artemis, not just his own crew). I pictured the beard as being similar to the one he sported when he returned to her from the Bastille in Paris. So with his normal, highlander stubble, the dialogue didn't quite make sense.

2022-09-27 12:11:30 +0000 UTCSpeaking again of your face… the whole scene while Lord John was chastising Captain Leonard and saved Jamie was priceless and you said “I love him!” Then Lord John watches as Jamie leaves thinking that same thing. Okay, seriously… how would Geillis remember Brianna? How many of you reading this remember someone you met for five minutes 20 years ago 🙄 When Claire told Geillis that she believed the time travel has something to do with the person on the other side drawing you to them explains exactly why Claire ended up in 1743 and not some other century. She and Jamie were meant to be, but were born in the wrong century. I’m so happy that Willoughby found happiness with Margaret. And once again the shock on your face when Claire killed Geillis. Your jaw dropped and stayed that way for quite a while. I love that moment when Jamie had to hold Claire and Young Ian before returning to the ship.🥺 I don’t understand why Claire was so focused on Jamie’s beard, he’s always had some stubble. But I got to admit, I like the scruffy look.🤷🏻♀️ Haha! I love when Claire says “I don’t make squeaking noises” and once again your face during that whole scene of Jamie telling Claire what he wants to do to her. Priceless! I really do like the casting of Brianna too, but there is something that I have trouble with and it’s that Sophie Skelton has brown eyes. In the books Brianna has blue eyes and the book is always saying how much she looks like her father because she’s almost 6’ tall with his blue eyes and since both Jamie and Claire have blue eyes, I wanted to see Brianna with blue eyes. But Sophie is amazing. I’m just being nit picky. Evie, can you believe we had to wait a year for S4 to see where the adventure takes them.

2022-09-26 21:20:57 +0000 UTCMaking mention of Evie’s facial expressions as the key part of the last episode's comments saved yet one more, the most stark, for the opening disposition- Clare describing her own death… Evie’s face was mortified! Now on to the episode proper... This one is SO crazy it requires a play-by-play to follow... Jamie is captured only to be saved by none other than Lord John. After which, Evie, while not the first woman to declared her love for Lord John, SURE DOES HERE! Jamie frees Clare, then off to save Ian from evil Geilis. Margret and her brother spill the 200-year-old baby prophesy beans prompting Clare and Jamie to confront Geilis and save poor Ian (AND BREE) in the cave with the time portal pool. Somehow, Evie follows this crazy progression quite well and even adds the dual inexplicable bonds Lord John-to-Jamie and Gelis-to-Clare (Nice!). On the ship returning then to Scotland, Evie REALLY {really} follows Jamie's romancing Clare until the storm hits. Jamie dives in after the swept overboard and dying Clare and somehow they end up on a beach in coastal Georgia after the hurricane. Well Evie... Welcome to America and to the upcoming Season 4! - (personally the Fraser adventures entering America, though very trying, are more reasonable to me... and I really like the season... especially The Most Remarkable OL Meeting Of ALL in a few episodes!!!)
