Robert Englund is a God among us, we truly did not deserve him. Such a class act IRL too.

BTW: that doctor was Freddie Krueger

Sam trying to kill Bobby is truly terrifying. 😧 Yeah, Balthazar said Sam had to "scar his vessle" by committing patricide. 😬 So, the intention was always to kill Bobby. It was always impossible that Dean was going to (easily) kill innocents, even as Death, even if it was part of the "natural order". Even when he said to Death that yeah, knowing what he knew now, he'd simply kill the little girl, he was like, "I'd save the nurse, okay?" It was still about who he could save. He looked at the situation, saw the girl was supposed to die, her life was not meant to extend beyond her, but the nurse had decades to live, and now whole branches of a family tree wouldn't exist, effectively "killing" even more people. Also, the little girl's father had been given time to adjust to the idea that she wasn't going to make it, the nurse's husband just had his whole world ripped away from him. Overall, Dean could see that he'd made the wrong choice, that he'd saved fewer people with his actions, and he hated it and felt very guilty. 😞 Of course. So, to explain, about the very end there when Sam is in the panic room and Dean is staring at him and you were like, "what?"... so Dean had just talked to Bobby about how they could possibly deal with Sam like this, knowing they weren't going to be able to keep him in the panic room forever, and that he was clearly capable of anything. Then Dean says, "What am I supposed to do here?" and that's when he starts staring at Sam. I think, he knew he still had the ring, and he could just touch this soulless version of his brother just once and "solve the problem". At this point he didn't think he'd get Sam's soul back, and he was at a loss of how to control this murderous version of his brother. So, I think he contemplated it for a minute. But of course, in the end, he'd never be able to do it, so he walks away. But I think that's what that moment was. And yes, Death is an amazing character! I love that Dean still sasses him all the time, because he's Dean, but when Death gets serious, you can see Dean remember just what entity he's sassing - the guy who kills with one touch! 😂 Loved your reaction, as always!
