This episode was a rollercoaster hahahah but I loved it so much! the second of the horsemen!! he was really gross.. anywayssss this episodes ended with Dean asking god for help?? or Michael? interesting!!

Hi Linda, your summarizations is spot on! Even though the boys deal with “supernatural” things, this show is about the brothers first. I remember when the show first aired and the producers said it started out to be a “monster of the week” show, and it was in the first few episodes, but it was the episode “Faith” from season 1 (guest starring Julie Benz from Buffy) when Dean is dying and Sam finds the healer who saves him, that the producers saw the connection between the brothers and the reaction of the fans that made them shift and to make the show about their relationship first and then the “supernatural” aspect. I love all the pop culture references in this show, and I’d be curious how many people get the Hamburgler reference.

2022-05-29 17:01:00 +0000 UTCHey! This is a great episode - love it! Wonderful reaction! Learning from Famine that Dean is feeling empty and like he can't win is heart breaking! Our poor Dean just tries so hard to keep on going. Seeing him desperate enough to reach out to God at the end (pretty sure it was God, not Michael) just so desperate for some kind of help, ugh! It makes me tear up every time. I liked the nuanced portrayal here of how Dean was feeling when Sam was craving the demon blood, and how that's changed since last season. It definitely scares him and bothers him that it can affect Sam like that. But he did obviously understand that it was something out of Sam's control. So, I love the plea to Cas to get him away somewhere safe, and then the little pat to Sam's arm after he locked him up show that while Dean is still upset by it, he's not blaming Sam. Then to watch him struggle to hear Sam go through the detox again, crying out for Dean to help him. God, it's so awful! Poor Sammy! Poor Dean. My poor babies! I would like to wrap them both up and give them all the cuddles! 😞 Cas and his million burgers was so funny - loved Dean calling him the Hamburgler! 🤣🤣
