Like you said it’s very sad to see klaus kill his real father, the thing he’s probably wanted the most in his life and needed he had to turn down in the name of his now new more important thing in his life which is his daughter, obviously it was the right call cause by what was told about dahlia, Esther would stop at nothing to kill hope to save her family from dahlias “return” but the heartbreak of seeing him make the probably hardest decision of picking his real dad from his daughter will remain to be one of the saddest moments in the orginals, but if I can offer some bright sides to that action to help lighten the mood😅, Mikael is alive now, so if he was to even hear of klaus’s real father being alive again, he’d stop at nothing to kill him once again, further adding more trauma for klaus to see mikael take his father from him for a 2nd time in a row and somehow I think that’s worse than klaus killing him, I also think it was critical that klaus had the opportunity to even imagine a life with his real father and meet him as for 1,000 years he’s only known 1 cruel Monstrous father, that being mikael, because of that klaus struggled to think of how he could ever be a good father to his daughter never having one himself, now that he met his real father and imagined what he’d have been, he now has at least an idea of how he will be to his daughter and knows the feelings and emotions he’ll aim to make sure his daughter hope feels by having a great father, as for klaus taking the deal of being a werewolf alone is to late like you mentioned also because of the huge amount of powerful and relentless enemies klaus has made over the 1,000 years of his life time, turning from immortal to mortal could have a negative affect as many don’t dare to mess with klaus because he can’t be killed, if they were to learn that he could be killed because he was turned to a werewolf alone, many would stop at nothing to get their revenge further endangering his family and daughter (most enemies also don’t know about the white oak stake so Ik he can be killed as of rn 😅) but anyways yes dad episode but also shows how klaus is changing, he is known for his selfishness, as that was the reason he chose to stay in New Orleans, to get his kingdom back, but now with his child being born you can see he’s prioritizing her above everything and that’s something he sometimes didn’t even do for his siblings, also great scenes between Elijah and klaus, shows how closely bonded the 2 are and how much they both rely on one another to survive and constantly add moral support to one another, klaus used to help Elijah fight his demons that his mother had trapped him with and Elijah was their to reassure klaus what he had done was for a greater good helping klaus cope with his actions, great reaction and hope your doing well! Can’t wait for the next one 👍
