Don’t know if your referring to the fact that Haley was kidnapped in this episode is why Elijah is a “horrible planner” because if so Haley almost died 2 times under klaus in charge 1) when she wondered the quarter to kill the baby and 2) she bayou doctor visit, Elijah is actually a better planner in my opinion when it comes to focusing on 1 set goal, klaus on the other hand is better at focusing in many goals at the same time which calls for his more complex plans, I do agree klaus is much better at planning out things than Elijah’s but the reasoning behind why Elijah’s plans always fall through aren’t from his own doing but more so because klaus constantly rebels against Elijah and interferes with Elijah’s plans, if you were to remove klaus from the equation Elijah’s plans would be effective most if not all the time, mostly since Elijah almost never hides his plans from klaus as he always assumes klaus is on board with them, unlike klaus that keeps to himself with his plans without telling others in order to ensure they follow through, and example of this is klaus killing Katie to gain marcels trust and gamble getting Elijah back, he didn’t tell Rebekah that part of the plan and kept it to himself, so there was no way for Rebekah to stop or interfere if she didn’t know about it if she disapproved which by the ending of that episode she showed she disapproved of the plan, again klaus is much better planner but Elijah isn’t a bad one either, his fails come from klaus himself interfering

2021-12-15 17:50:26 +0000 UTCAgreed. Elijah is an amazing fighter while being elegant and he's the glue to holding his family/siblings together. Klaus is the master mind at strategies and manipulation to get the job done. Klaus is my favorite too, but Elijah isn't too far off. 🙂

The best thing is when they work together because They are both smart and strategic, Klaus a bit more I think, Elijah can be as savage, but Klaus doesn't do diplomacy. The only problem with that is sometimes Klaus' way of doing things will work way better but Elijah won't agree and interfere. The other way around too.
