That’s not near the reasoning in which why klaus disapproved of marcel and Rebekah, klaus suffers from abandonment and paranoia, in his eyes marcel was someone who was going to grant him that unconditional love he seeked even if he didn’t know yet, someone that would stick by him and wouldn’t betray or abandon him since he saw himself in marcel, if Rebekah was to date or stay together with marcel she would have occupied marcels place in most important person to him and who he cared and loves the most leaving room for marcel to leave klaus’s side or abandon him for Rebekah, so he was more to the fact that Rebekah could strip marcel from klaus which is why he said “you need to learn what you can and can’t take from me” when he daggered Rebekah, also the relationship between Rebekah and marcel I don’t find weird, aside from the fact that Rebekah is over 1000 years old anyone is considered a child if you wanna compare ages to her, not to mention she was never allowed to fall in love thanks to klaus es constant disapproval, marcel was the constant one in her life that stuck with her for the most and showed her compassion and a sense of caring for her, I believe she saw him as a child with a crush on her when he was young but as he matured his feelings and her own changed not because of the physical aspect of them but because the constant show of compassion and caring for one another, something she didn’t have from anyone aside from a brotherly one from Elijah and klaus here and there

2022-03-30 08:26:06 +0000 UTCI mean, it kinda makes sense why Klaus wouldn't want the young man he raised as a son to get with his sister, who helped raise him since he was a kid. Plus, he's a hybrid. I mean, I'd assume most guys don't want their son and sister to get together in a house where you have super hearing and smelling.
