This episode was absolutely amazing, so exciting and interesting! My heart aches for Damon and I was revenge on Katherine grrr but also I wanna learn everything there is to know about her lol
Can't wait to see the rest of Season 2 because that was a great opener! CAROLINE WILL BE A FREAKING VAMPIRE I MEAN COME ON who wouldn't be excited to see that ahahaha <3

Ugh, right as soon as I had submit to my comment, I lost my internet. Great comparison though with the Spike moment from Buffy. As far as the music goes, the song was actually playing very lightly and at times even difficult to pick up the lyrics due to the actors speaking. This was done intentionally for this scene. I had a hard time picking up the Lyrics myself when I went back to watch the scene, so as I said it's done very softly. The song choice for characters and scenes is done very purposefully for this show. They can have even deeper meaning and insights at times than just what you see taking place on the screen. There is a helpful site I use called Tunefind, that will list TV shows by Episode and then have the songs that are played in each scene for that episode. 2021-04-10 20:43:52 +0000 UTCBoth Katherine said that "it's always been Stefan" that broke my heart so much 💔 cause you can't blame them you know they are allowed to feel the way they feel but it's kind of like in buffy "Fool for Love" we see Spike being rejected by the woman he loved in the past and being told he's "beneath her" and then he gets told the same exact thing by another woman he starts to have feelings for so that really made me feel sad for Damon cause that must have destroyed his little heart☹️ I need to try and pay more attention to the music playing in the back during important scenes! Sometimes I'm so concentrated on what's going on in the scene and appreciate the acting that I don't actually hear it. Can't wait to see more, Katherine back and Caroline as a vampire is really something i'm into!!! 😋

2021-04-10 15:07:23 +0000 UTCSeason 2 ramps everything up for sure. Vampire Caroline is great, and will be interesting to see you react to that as that unfolds. This is Damon's lowest point, he has hit rock bottom as the saying goes, but it's also his defining moment as well. He knew he screwed up and allowed his emotions get the best of him, as we seeing him standing alone and throwing his glass into the fire. He had just been told and rejected twice in the same way, by two women, who look alike, one that he has loved for over 140+ years, and the one he has come to love now in the present. All emotions by vampires are heightened, so in that moment, not defending him, but all that pain, that his life doesn't matter, he doesn't matter by one woman he had shown devotion, loyalty, dedication and love and then have the same repeated again, maybe an hour later. He just snaps and break, thus the snapping and breaking of Jeremy's symbolizing this inner snapping and brokenness that just occurred within Damon being extended outwards. Sometimes, it's isn't until we are completely broken, can we get better. This brings us to Elena as you mentioned and as I have said previously, she still gains insight into Damon's character and his actions. The first took place when talking about the kiss, then later of course after he broke Jeremy's neck, and she hates him....once again a song is playing in the background, though quietly and softly the lyrics are difficult to pick up sometimes, that fit this scene perfectly as well as Damon's emotions in the moment as well as Elena. As far as Katherine and Stefan goes, well you did pick up on what Katherine said concerning Stefan's choice of women. That's all I'll say for now, but the conversation between them is important.

2021-04-10 14:54:22 +0000 UTCKatherine in the hospital said to Caroline to give the Salvatore’s a message, so she know that she had blood in her system. She knew everything about everybody. God knows how long she has beng going around pretending to be Elena and how long she has been entering in her house and snooping around. Even if she was back for the brothers, why she is back now? What with the turning of Caroline into a vampire and the “game on” message. Damon. Every time he gives a chance to feel love he gets his heart brutally crushed and being a vampire he feels that more powerfully. He didn’t wanted to kill Jeremy, only to turn him into a vampire, being upset and drunk he miscalculate that. As Elena said he prefers to be hated rather than to be ignored. Damon kryptonite are feelings, he was unloved by his father, seen the horrors of war, use for sex by Katherine, lost his mother young and turned into a vampire against his will by his brother and lived most of his life alone waiting 145 years to see again someone that doesn’t really love him. How sad is that! Stefan in this season is gold, he looks drop dead gorgeous, his talk “I’m not going to fight you” to Damon in the garden is one of my Defan favourite moments, I’ve just loved Stefan there so much. I so much enjoy Stefan threatening people; it’s another great thing in the show. Nina is an amazing actress, she can play Katherine so differently from Elena that you almost forget that they are playing by the same person. Oh season two is fab!!
