They may twist words sometimes, but the rules ARE the rules. Chota and Karube dying was sad when I watched it, but I was okay with it because I wasn’t a fan of either character. But they are important in that they are pillars for Arisu and provide him with motivation and structure. Arisu is a bit of a hakikomori, a shut-in who is gaming obsessed and only has relationships with Karube and Chota. We find out why later. But he is exceedingly smart and game-minded. He is the titular Alice (Arisu and Alice have the same pronunciation in Japanese) in the Wonderland. Chota and Karube were crutches who allowed him to stay in his safe zone. He could’ve never won with the power of friendship. lol

2026-02-17 20:51:26 +0000 UTCEpisode 3 was so unexpected for me . I literally thought Chota and Karube would die either in season 2 or last episode of season 1 . This episode solidified that Alice in borderland don’t play around
