DiBS 0.0.25 - Creature Chamber Update! + Vote Next Creature
Added 2020-09-04 20:46:07 +0000 UTCDownloads here!
Attention: It seems Godot (the game engine I'm using) crashes if I use the OGG voice audio. Voices are disabled for now. If there are anymore crashes, kindly let me know. Thank you!
- DiBS 0.0.25 - Windows Version
- DiBS 0.0.25 - Linux Version
- DiBS 0.0.25 - Mac Version (Untested, but should work)
Changelog:
Creature Chamber

Pseudo-gallery is here! It's a bit janky, and some animations haven't been added yet, but it should be functional now.
Regardless this should lay as the foundation for future creatures and content, so glad we got that out of the way.
To enter it, she needs to cummed in three times.
FPS Boost
Huzzah! Switched from GLES3 to GLES2, meaning better FPS on later levels. Older hardware can also (probably) play the game!
Found out there wasn't much incentive on keeping the game on GLES3, since GLES3's graphical "improvements" aren't that noticeable and only causes FPS drops on older hardware.
[[ Disclaimer: I have only tested on my machine. There is a noticeable FPS boost on my end, but I'm not sure on others. YMMV. ]]
Other Changelogs
- Bullets are now slightly faster
- [There used to be additional voices, but for some reason, it crashes the game. Will investigate immediately.]
- [Update: It seems to be a problem with the game engine I'm using. Will find a workaround.]
- [Update to the Update: I'd have to upgrade my Godot version to fix the issue, which is still in beta and might introduce more problems. Raagh! (flips table)]
Next Update Plans (0.0.30)
- Adding more creature(s?) into the game.
- Refining the grapple/struggle minigame (the top-down minigame).
- ^--- Walls that block an easy path to the creature's "heart"
- ^--- More varied placement of creature heart and escape icon.
Roadmap to future content (for further future versions)
- Improve creature AI
- ^--- Pathfinding to the player
- Improving on Creature Chamber look and feel.
- Adding metroidvania elements (Probably in 0.2.00)
- ^----- This basically means more levels, but you go back and forth this time.
- ^----- Don't worry. I'll make the routes as short as possible.
- Moxie finding a way out of the ship. (End Game)
Creature Vote!
Yep! Going to try a different approach now and looking for feedback on creature creation.
- 1. Tentacle Head
- 2. Tall Nut
- 3. Ceiling Latchers
- 4. Deflowering Head

1. Tentacle Head
Struggle/Grapple Minigame: This creature will extend long tentacles from the edges of the screen towards Moxie. Moxie cannot kite these tentacles
In addition, normal tentacles also follow Moxie.
Gameplay Gimmicks:
- Uses its tentacles to feel its surroundings.
- High health. Stationary.
- Shining your flashlight will make it cover itself like an umbrella, letting Moxie safely run through,

2. Tall Nut
Struggle/Grapple Minigame: Watches Moxie from afar.
Gameplay Gimmicks:
- Watches just out of sight.
- Shining your flashlight will make it slink back into darkness
- Don't come near it.

3. Ceiling Latchers
Struggle/Grapple Minigame: None
Gameplay Gimmicks:
- Spits out trappers (first creatures you encounter on the floor)

4. Deflowering Head
Struggle/Grapple Minigame: It sucks Moxie towards itself. Moxie's movement will move towards the Deflowering Head if you don't do anything.
Creature's heart is weak. Best to strike it there.
Gameplay Gimmicks:
- Medium health. Stationary.
- Blocks path. (Moxie cannot pass through)
- Sucky sucky.
End
Phew. Glad that's over.
Work is still hectic, and there are lots of things I wanted to add, given my limited time. But at least the basic backbone of the pseudo-gallery is there, which is always good.
With the completion of the Creature Chamber, I'm going to stop on the game's framework and focus on adding more content.
You know, more creatures and animations. The good stuff.
Anyway, that's it. See you on October 3!

2020-09-28 16:09:01 +0000 UTCI don't know what it is about this game, its just got me so transfixed. I really want to be a part of this ð© I love it, how can I help! Also haven't run into it again but had an issue where a sex scene clipped me through a wall, had to close out.

2020-09-05 01:35:50 +0000 UTCWas it by chance when a creature grappled you?
MoxieLoaf
2020-09-04 21:58:04 +0000 UTCGame hard crashes when you get grappled. No errors thrown. Game runs a little bit longer if you leave it at its normal window sized and not maximum size. On the previous versions they ran fine. I have a 2560 x 1440 res monitor. I have tried and reduce the resolutions to a normal 1920 x 1080 res monitor and it still crashed.

2020-09-04 21:55:20 +0000 UTCAh apologies, I meant that there would be more gameplay (not animations) options for the struggle/grapple minigame, like walls that block the path. [Doink. I didn't initially understand you. I'll add descriptions right away,]

2020-09-04 21:38:09 +0000 UTCCould we get a little more description on what kind of grapple animation the different choices in creature would have? Some of them are a little unclear
