Hey hey everyone. Mini update here.
Uhh. This one isn't public because lewd. ._.
Hold your horses. The actual GAME update is still going to be on Sept 4. Just dropping by to show a bit of DiBS' progress.

Premise: I've been experimenting with a new art style.
Why:
- It might be better for visual appeal.
- I want to.
End Result: I could, but this process takes too long to be viable for development. D:
This probably won't be in the game.
Oh well. Here's to what could've been.
Experimentation Stage (5 Hours, with breaks)
What: What the final piece should look like.
Why: You don't want to animate a pose, then 10 hours later scrap it because you found a better pose. Learned that lesson from pixel art. :\

Early style tests. Tried doing a shaded, lineless look. Didn't work out.

Went with a lined, non-shaded look. Looks alright.

(Stupidly) slight variations on proportions before animation.
(~12 hours with breaks. 5 days if including IRL work)

Individually and inefficiently hand-animated the tentacles, when I could've tweened them instead. Hey, that's what experiments are for. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not super proud of the right ear jiggling, but at least it's not too noticeable in the final piece, I hope.
I take the pieces and smash them together..

Colored it in and added backgrounds and a slight vignette. Voila, final piece.
And so, after ~8 days of excruciating work, it's not even going to be in the game.
Priorities 101.
Not going to spoil much, so here's a pic of Creature Chamber.

Welp, going back to developing.
See you on September 4!
