Your perspective is interesting. Conquest definitely doesn’t have that Typical Viltrumite loyalty and devotion. But he keeps doing their bidding, probably because fighting is what he loves to do. But, it’s also the only thing he does. The isolation and all the heinous shit he does is definitely probably why he’s the way that he is. And it’s just compounding on itself year after year. He probably couldn’t do anything else if he tried at this point. Also, to your point, he’s old not weak. Viltrumites get stronger with age, not weaker. Which, imo Conquest clearly was never trying his hardest. He was fucking around and having a blast. Also, he never once defended himself. He literally has no self preservation instinct which is, so insane. This was not a win. Not even close. Also, I saw some other people saying Conquest is the strongest. No way. If he was the Strongest he’d be the ruler. There’s definitely guys above him. You think a psycho like conquest would take orders from someone WEAKER than him? No way. Yeah there’s not that many Viltrumites left but yet their empire is still the strongest in the universe. That means there is probably universes of difference in strength as you go up the food chain.

Like did she blast her clothes away without meaning to or did they disappear because she wasn’t using her power to maintain them? I feel like some things she creates with her power stay in existence even if she is not conscious or using her power to sustain them. Whilst other things like the constructs she was using against Conquest would disappear on their own if she didn’t sustain them with her power.

2025-03-14 20:05:46 +0000 UTCI could be wrong but I thought when Eve regenerated herself and blasted Conquest she was shown full frontal naked without any nipples. At least I thought she was naked at that point. I’ll never understand why some people have no problem seeing all the violence and gore in this show but would get upset at seeing a bare pair of breasts with nipples. They even showed Mark’s nipples in this episode. I roll my eyes a bit at the contrivance but I’m not really bothered when anime uses steam, objects or certain camera angles to hide the “naughty bits” from view. It’s just a bug bear of mine when full frontal nudity is shown and characters are drawn with barbie doll anatomy. Especially in shows that are R rated where everything else form language to violence is pretty much uncensored. I’ve been rereading one of my favourite manga series - Berserk - that a mother and son are reading/reviewing for the first time on YouTube. I actually have a similar problem with the censorship in that. The artist was allowed to draw breasts with nipples but he wasn’t allowed to draw penises. So there would be some panels where he would draw men full frontal naked looking like Ken dolls. I sort of wish he’d drawn alternate anatomically correct panels that could be published in countries that don’t censor male genitalia.

2025-03-14 19:59:13 +0000 UTCI actually thought last week’s episode would have made a better season finale. This week’s episode just felt like a big fight for the most part with not as much emotional meat to it. It was a good episode but didn’t feel like a season ending one.

2025-03-14 19:42:26 +0000 UTCI read an article a couple of days ago that said Conquest’s monologue about being lonely wasn’t in the original comic and was made up for the show. I don’t know if that changes where Conquest’s story is going to go compared to the comic. Is he going to get a redemption arc?

2025-03-14 19:38:43 +0000 UTCI feel like in the after credits, "Blackened" heart feel like it would point to Mark, Since Blackened feels like they're implying it's a heart that has Changed to that from something pure. Where as someone like Conquest, While tragic in some aspects, came here with sinister intentions right off the bat. I haven't read the comics but apparently this Darkblood plotline might be something that didn't happen in the comics but was something the author wanted to happen. This season was awesome and your reaction and theories have been awesome too!
