The Bionicle Lecture - Part 4 (backer-exclusive preview)

The BIONICLE lore is well and truly weird by this point. There are so many side stories going on now with the Order of Mata Nui and the Toa Hagah and Takanuva that it took me this entire part just to get through talking about the 2008 Karda Nui arc. I know I said there wouldn't be more previews after the last one but, heh, well, you know how it is... At this rate there might be a part 5 talking about 2009 and 2010. I would expect that final part to be shorter than this one but I won't know until I've done it.

As always, I welcome everyone to point out any mistakes in this preview, both audio/video hiccups and lore mistakes, I will be going back and fixing any issues before the final video and your input will help!

Thanks so much again, and I'll be back with more soon,

That's fair, and I can see how they'd be annoying to some people. I guess to narrow the scope of my concern here; I've noticed a few spots where factual corrections to points you happen to misspeak on are only corrected through text blips. So, given we all know most people are only going to listen instead of watch, they probably wouldn't catch corrections like that. I'm not about to say I have an ideal solution, I just think it's an issue worth paying mind to. Maybe you just throw in a 10-15 second disclaimer during the intro portion to say that, occasionally, you may misspeak, and that you'll be correcting any mistakes you notice with text on screen πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ idk, I'm not the creator here. I just figured I'd share my perspective. In any case, I've enjoyed the previews a lot so far! I'm sure the final product will be excellent no matter what, at this point in development :)

I actually really dislike tom's audio cues, the fact is people are going to listen to this more so than actually watch it and the little ding sounds hurt the listening experience. the images and text corrections i consider bonus rewards for those who want to watch actively

I'm kinda' thinking you should consider doing what Tom did with the Animorphs lecture and add little audio cues whenever a text addendum/correction appears on screen. I mean, given that the alternatives are to either give a disclaimer at the beginning of the full version of the lecture that there will be a lot of non-verbal corrections, or to straight up re-record the parts where you mispoke, I think the audio cues end up being a decent compromise. I'm only saying this because I didn't notice how many text corrections there were until I rewatched/listened to all of the previews for the 4th time (I start from the first one whenever you post an update πŸ˜…) Also, I do remember that you had audio cues in the megaman lecture for whenever you paused yourself to give a spoken-correction/addendum to things you got wrong or didn't elaborate on enough, but I get the impression that you really want to try to condense the content of this lecture as much as possible, so that's probably not as viable of an option in this case πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
