Patron Q&A/Update Podcast - PILOT EPISODE

I'd like to make it kind of a patron Q&A type thing but since this is the first episode I don't have any Q's (I think I made this same exact joke in the recording, haha I'm so witty)

Loved listening to this, I think maybe the only way for you to grow though is gradually through producing more content more consistently. My question would probably be what do you think most defines your work as a whole and even more optionally how would you elevator pitch each of your comics (so I can spread the good word)
2020-01-23 19:05:54 +0000 UTCQuestion: Do you think that by imbuing The Champion with political themes of anti-capitalism and anti-establishment, you'll make your comic more or less widely appealing? Do you still intend for The Champion to be a comic that's widely appealing? To me, I think it depends on the subtlety and execution, but a comic that's entrenched in sending a political message can often find itself so caught up in the literal and uninteresting depictions of the political discourse in play that you don't actually build interesting characters or a realistic world, you just show through a setting analogous to our own, this bad thing that happens. I don't even think that it's bad to have a politically charged comic, I just think that if it's the focus of the comic, it will either be preaching to the choir of your audience (that a vast majority of which already agree with you politically) or it'll actually alienate a larger potential audience that would be interested in the comic but doesn't like the pretence of a comic so deeply focused on one aspect of our world.
