"Another remake? Surely you’re not out of ideas… right?" I hear you ask. Rest assured, I am not running out of ideas. The original Essence Stealers story I wrote in 2022 has stayed on my mind ever since. I always wanted to expand it into a full series, but looking back, I was not fully satisfied with the prose. So I decided to bite the bullet, rewrite it, and finally give it the treatment it deserves.

One of my favorite tropes in transformation fiction is when someone knows exactly what is about to happen but is powerless to stop it. That creeping sense of inevitability, feeling every change unfold while fully understanding what is coming, really excites me. For those who truly immerse themselves in this world, remember that selling your own essence on the black market is always an option. But be warned. What you become next is not always in your control. Some are lucky. Others are left as hollow shells. Essence transfers are not always so neat.
