Need Advice (part 2)

Okay patreons...it's been a long long time now since I've heard back from the Swelling Invasion writer Frooh. 10 months is a long stretch to not hear anything from him. And just to give you some idea of what communications were like before his sudden "disappearance", we talked nearly every weekend via emails, except for one episode where he was indisposed for 3 months. And then it was backto normal...until of course last Feb (2019), which marked the last time I heard from him. And the last email was on a good note, as he was excited to see more pages.

I'm worried about him, and I will continue to reach out every week like I have been. Over the years we have become good friends, so this is more than just a rando-artist plus rando-writer arrangement. In the end, I hope my friend is okay.

Moving forward with thisproject, I've come to this conclusion; based on our past talks, and how many scripts he gave me in advance (13 main story scripts, 19 side story scripts), I can only conclude that he was willing for me to continue the comic project. I want to say that's safe to assume. So I plan to do just that until I hear from Frooh otherwise.

I know it says "need advice", and if you have any that'd be great, but I also wanted to get a sense of how all of you feel about the situation. I wanted to be as transparent about the back-end as possible.

Thank you all for your support so far, and as it stands, I am looking forward to continuing Swelling, but it will not feel the same without my friend.

Hey Monocle! Don't really have much in the way of advice but I most definitely understand and share your concern regarding Frooh. I had a similar situation few years ago with an online friend that suddenly ceased all communications out of the blue. Only for them to pop back up equally as sudden about a year later. It's one of those unfortunate things when it comes to these sorts of online relationships where it doesn't even have to necessarily be anything bad or sinister but sometimes a person's life situation can change rather drastically (even overnight) and often the things that fall to the wayside first are communities such as these and the friendships within them. That said, it sounds like you have a good plan for moving forward for at least the time being. And based on your description of how much story material that was already passed your way I would say that Frooh most certainly had faith and trust in your own passion to carry on this story world even in their absence!
