PAGE 15: Conclusion
Added 2019-05-25 01:31:46 +0000 UTCHi again. So the results are in, and as of today (5/24) 9:18pm EST, it stands at 14 to 18 in favor of a REDO.
Your voices have been heard, and a REDO will be in the works for page 15.
To those who were happy with the "new" direction, I will leave you with this: it WILL come back in later issues, and I will find a way to showcase the growth in a more detailed sequence (vs. a small two-page sequence that was originally planned for this issue).
Hyper-pregnant expansion will still be the main focus, but future stories will feature different types, albeit a rare occurrence (and will be more dependent on the specific plots of each comic issue, i.e. rare alien types, experimental weapons, etc.).
I believe this is a fair compromise for both groups. Normal alien dicks will always lead to hyper-preggo, while rare alien dicks will feature special properties for expansion. The consistency of the story is maintained, while being opened to various "new" expansions as long as the plot devices allow.
I want to thank everyone again who lent their voices to this discussion, and I hope you all enjoy the upcoming REDO :)

I believe there's enough room to be creative with this project in future issues, so I don't hold any ill-will towards those who were hit unexpectedly and spoke up with their concerns. The voices were heard, and more importantly, the case was established for how non-nonsensical it is to have "regular" aliens causing random "balloon-type" blow-ups. I know were dealing with the fantastical here, but consistency is still key! :)

2019-06-03 01:56:50 +0000 UTCWell to be fair and as Monocle makes clear, the concept of the full body expansion from the prior page 15 isn't gone away forever. But rather it will just be handled more thoughtfully in the future. I feel the big reasons there was such a sudden pushback (or at last the reasons why I had an issue with it) had more to do with the fact that yes, as you said , Swelling Invasion was always first and foremost about massive bellies and breasts. And I know myself and clearly others were concerned that was about to no longer be the case. And second, as silly as it might sound, the canonical consistency for that type of parasite and how it inflates the heroines was already well established. So it threw everyone off when suddenly the entire type of inflation suddenly shifted. I have no doubt that new avenues will be explored in time. Heck, my off the cuff idea about including a parasite that specializes in inflating/impregnating breasts gained a lot of support in the discussion thread. So it's clear that fans are open to new things so long as the core theme of breast and belly expansion remain the ever constant.

I feel like many artists would have just told fans to pound sand and "just be happy with what you get". So the fact that you were open to making a change and are going through with it really lends a lot to your credibility as a creator imo. You most definitly gained a dedicated fan out of me!

Keep up the amazing work.

I hope this encourages more commentary, as I'm always happy to provide whatever answers I can as the issues progress :)
