Well this July 2025 is the 15th anniversary of ImageGlass. From a GIF viewer to today's feature-rich app, it's been 15 years.
I was thinking what version 10 should be like, and decided to focus on performance area, cross-platform (or at least make it easier to become cross-platform).

ImageGlass version 8.8 includes significant improvements such as faster loading times for animated WebP images, enhanced support for Exiftool, and several bug fixes. These updates ensure a smoother and more efficient experience for users when viewing and managing their image files.
ImageGlass' WebP format decoder has had a big improvement to the animated format by directly using libwebp v1.3 (not through Magick.NET anymore).

Hi all,
There is no update for ImageGlass app.
However, recently I have been working on a brand new photo viewer app. Today, I'm happy to reveal some screenshots.
The UI is designed to be flexible, and to match Windows 11's look. You can expect the transparent blurry effect background of the window, softer, decluttered and more ethereal.

The next version of ImageGlass is v7.7, and one of the most exciting features is Exif tool. This new tool helps you view Exif metadata of the viewing image, copy selected value, and export all data to text file. Currently, Exif tool is now available for testing in ImageGlass Moon.
