A Change of Tactics Ch18

I want to follow up and say that the balance between flashbacks, story building and sex is great. It's one of the main reasons I enjoy this story so much. There are plenty of other stories that just have meaningless sex in any way they can imagine but it all has purpose in this story. Anyway, wonderful chapter and can't wait for more.

Great! Hah, really glad to know you enjoyed it, thanks man! Actually an equal relief to hear you liked the flashback stuff. It's always something I'm hesitant to add since, while it adds to the lore and the reasons for my character actions, it's also a huge part of story real-estate that isn't dedicated to the sex. I'm always cautious as to whether or not people really want that stuff like, should I skip all Say'ri's backstory and just go with the explanation that she fell in love with Robin over the war? If I did I could'a had her getting into bed with him in this chapter! It's a tough call, and one I worry about a lot. I'm always concerned this story is way too much story, background and worldbuilding, especially since it's so slow to come out so people probably forget a lot of the details anyway... so yeah, thanks for that! Glad to know it wasn't wasted! Haha, Nowi's cute but she's definitely a little bratty. Robin had to absolutely shut that down or she'd be flying after them, and probably sneaking into his room at night. And, yeah... there's no way she could keep herself under control enough to prevent a ninja from noticing her moans. As you pointed out, the obvious answer is they'd just not have sex... but she likes sex! She's a bit chidish like that, it's (hopefully) cute. You're spot on with Lucina and Lissa too. It's something I was thinking definitely needed to be addressed for Lissa particularly... I mean a huge part previous chapter was about how hurt she was by Lon'qu leaving to go to Ferox... and now Robin's doing the same thing! I figured I needed a scene to at least show the difference between them there. And hey, it lets me bring her to Ferox too, which is great. Thanks again!

Boy, that was a fun read. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but a thing I like about this story is how you retroactively tell your own account of the main story in Awakening through the flashbacks. The flesh out the world and characters you're depicting, going over key events as they become relevant. That bit with Cynthia covering for Robin and Lucina was funny and the Severa bj was a nice surprise. Given the dialogue in the chapter I see Nowi and Lissa are the confirmed tagalongs to Ferox. Had myself a good chuckle in regards to Nowi whining and insisting she could keep quiet while having sex if she were to join Robin's tour for Say'ri. It kinda highlighted the main concern Robin has concerning her habits in a fun way, being worried that she would impose herself on him instead just not having sex. On a serious note, I really liked the bits where Lucina showed her insecurities about going public with her relationship and Lissa having that moment with Robin and him asking her if she was going to be okay with him leaving. With the former it does a good job of highlighting Lucina's trauma and her guilt in that after everything she's sacrificed and asked of others she finds it hard to be happy and with the latter as unlike with Lon'qu who chooses Ferox and his duty, Robin makes it clear if he had a choice he'd stay and while he is leaving he'll definitely be back and has a solid timeframe for returning, rather than a lengthy departure that may or may not be extended. Anyway, great chapter after so long. And then part 2 will be coming soon, hopefully. Can't wait for the TRUE Say'ri chapter. Keep up the good work.
