We both grew up in Nottingham, and earlier this year my whole life was flipped when I lost my first longterm relationship. He’s also introduced me to Bruce Springsteen and having a greater passion for music and getting off of social media and being in the real world. when he posted his “loneliest time of my life” square video, i was on a train by myself for the first time ever at 17, travelling home to nottingham from cambridge, after just losing my boyfriend and all of my friends. tom and his passion makes me feel seen

What an incredible version of that song. I've had a similar obsession with Jonathan Larson and Bo Burnham as of recent, both trying to find the connection between the two artists (purely based on the fact that they both wrote songs about turning 30, 30 years apart), and trying to learn more about Jonathan Larson's Superbia. And my god after listening to it, it really changed everything. I can't stop thinking about it. I have like a 20 page document that's full of just the BASICS of both Jonathan Larson and Bo Burnham. One day, I'd like to really sit down and write everything down but that'll take some time. Can't wait for future Tom Talks! (especially the Sam Fender one, The Dying Light and Nostalgia's Lie are fuckin incredible)
