Complete Captain 1.2

Didn't we just expand the captain with new banners and improved class features? We did! But our work on Cakewalk familiars, the improvements made in recent official books to monster spellcasting, and a bunch of playtesting had gotten us thinking: do we need to fix the cohorts?
After some spreadsheets, we realized the answer was yes. The cohorts needed more than a coat of paint. The Champion was overtuned, the mage was hilariously undertuned, and parts of the Hunter were arguably never correct.
So we've revisited the class in a flurry of design and modified or overhauled practically cohort available. I'm feeling great about these changes. Cohorts are stronger and more balanced against one another across the board, spellcasters have room for actual utility spells, while having better damage overall, and abilities are more thematic and punchy!

2022-08-01 16:50:58 +0000 UTCFurthermore, some of the cohort still have abilities and modifiers that do not match. Scoundrel has 13 (+0) Int for and Undead has 10 (+2) Dex for example.

2022-08-01 07:43:10 +0000 UTCI really like the new cohorts! Some feedback: the Scoundrel has a cunning action feature that is named "Sneak attack" and a Sneak attack feature that is named "Rogue Training".
