Cakewalk | Game of Scones
Added 2022-04-01 04:56:07 +0000 UTCGame of Scones is an adventure for characters of 1st and 2nd level that introduces players to the Cakewalk campaign setting. With this adventure, For a Few Gumballs More, and Murder on the Gourmet Express, we've got a 1st-4th level campaign! This adventure took much more work than I initially expected (it's the longest so far), but I'm pretty happy with how it came out. I can't imagine a better way to introduce the setting than with the Red Velvet Wedding and the evil, carb-laden machinations of Doctor Bakenstein.
Sorry for failing to get this done in March. I ended up getting tied down with some unexpected travel throughout the month, but I'm working at full tilt to make up for it. Here's what I have on the burner for the next couple of months:
- A big expansion for the Book of Extinction, including some high CR megafauna, and a twice-extincted legendary creature.
- Updates for the Complete Class books, including new subclasses for classes that don't have enough content outside of Valda's.
- The first few chapters of the Dark Matter adventure, One Hundred to Oni.
- Way more content for Cakewalk, including magic items, new races, and more.
- A brand new card game announcement! Think witches. And baking.
I'm in full book-writing mode for Cakewalk in the background. I've been churning out monsters and magic items like nobody's business, but I've been banking most of that until we have a really presentable version for you. Hence, lots of work and little to show for now. But I can't wait to show you the incredible art we have for the Breadnought, Chargoyle, and Unbread. This is shaping up to be our sexiest book yet.
