December Poll
Added 2018-09-18 05:32:02 +0000 UTCIt's that time again! There's been a lot of balls in the air here recently: I've been working overtime on Dark Matter, piecing together the Alchemist Redux, and been working on a second redux for the Craftsman.
The month after (November 1st) is going to be the Arcane Archive, a book that compiles all our spells in one place and also includes spell lists for all the classes. This poll is for the month after that, in December.
For this poll, we're trying something experimental: this one is for a two-month project, which means whatever gets voted for will be released in two pieces over two consecutive months.

Side note: there's a very chance that over the next few months, I'm going to do a clean-up month, where we sit down and tie-off some loose ends: wrapping up the full Redux of the Complete Alchemist, doing the Craftsman Redux 2, pushing out a rough draft of a new class we've been tinkering with, etc. I'll still be running a poll that month, but it'll push back the release schedule by a month if/when that happens.

New setting please.

2018-10-05 07:34:24 +0000 UTCIs there a winner yet? I wish we could see the results of the producer poll

2018-09-25 14:51:45 +0000 UTCSame. I have a player who wants to play one for the next campaign and I've been voting for the complete Binder so he can have the maximum number of options available to him. Though tbh, I love everything in this poll and I'm looking forward to the Alchemist Redux and especially the Arcane Archive.

2018-09-20 12:29:10 +0000 UTCBeen waiting on the complete Binder forever. It’s always a bridesmaid but never a bride. Lol

2018-09-19 04:00:44 +0000 UTCYeah, the complete books aren't really reduxes, they're more like expansions. That said, I'm not a fan of re-doing things I've written, mainly because it would feel too much like admitting I was wrong the first time... I don't really know how the others are able to stomach it. Anyway, I'm voting Electric East. I've got so many ideas for monsters... <_<

2018-09-18 19:48:02 +0000 UTCI know everyone's excited for Electric East and Binder, but come now, we must be festive. Tis the season, after all!

2018-09-18 18:46:05 +0000 UTCI personally haven't seen a redux other than the complete books, but I imagine the reduxes will be quite extensive just like the complete books have been.
Justin Forkner
2018-09-18 16:30:36 +0000 UTCSo the complete books, do a finer tuned rebalancing on classes and add a ton of new subclasses, new art, and other things relevant to the class l, for example complete gunslinger has a ton of new guns from the original release.
Justin Forkner
2018-09-18 16:28:55 +0000 UTCI can understand this POV, but they can only do so much playtesting before its released. Then they have all the feedback from the little monsters here too, in addition to any playtests they run themselves. Its getting the bugs out and releasing something of a higher quality than what they previously had, usually with a TON of new options (Looking at you Witch). That said, just vote for something you are interested in.

2018-09-18 16:13:53 +0000 UTCI'd like to say that all these "redux" things you're doing seems like re-posting with slight variation. Not a fan of them, at all. WOuld like to see new material most of the time. the "redux" stuff ought to be released the same was DTRPG or RPGNOW does it... you've bought it already, and there's a notification in your mail to let you know updates have taken place. Electrix East please...

2018-09-18 14:40:04 +0000 UTCELECTRIC EAST! YEE BOI!

2018-09-18 14:38:25 +0000 UTCWell, as much as I love the Binder, Electric East has caught my interest. Honestly at this point I kinda hope you guys release snippets of the Binder over time as small projects, kinda like what you did with Siegeball.

2018-09-18 10:53:44 +0000 UTCVote Krampus; Or It's the burlap bag and birch switch!!!

2018-09-18 10:00:23 +0000 UTCFrankly, I'm not sure if you should hold off. On one hand, the new version will be much, much simpler to use and learn (after all, if you know the basic weapon properties, you know almost all of the Beginner Properties), but I don't know /precisely/ when we'll be finishing up and releasing the new Craftsman. I'd hate for you to delay for months waiting for it. The supplementary crafting rules won't be rewritten, but the exotic weapons will be getting revisions and rebalances.
Mage Hand Press
2018-09-18 08:22:38 +0000 UTCAlso, are the supplementary crafting rules that accompany the class getting rewritten as well?
Joshua Crouch
2018-09-18 07:38:52 +0000 UTCIt's already a lot to take in, so would you recommend just holding off playing one until the rework so I dont have to mentally try ro figure out what aspects of the document have changed?

2018-09-18 06:38:24 +0000 UTCIt's a lot. The biggest thing is that we're revamping the Techniques completely -- now they're Masterwork Properties, which behave the same way as weapon properties. You also get a lot of Beginning Properties, which allows you totally engineer your weapon's properties, so you can now build any exotic weapon with properties. Also, Masterwork bonuses scale, which will change the damage curve in some important ways. There's a lot of other changes happening, but that's the biggest thing.

2018-09-18 06:33:26 +0000 UTCAs someone looking to play a craftsman, im curious to know whats getting redone and why. Any idea of if we could get a proposed changelog?

2018-09-18 05:53:49 +0000 UTCElectric East, even as I want to see the Krampus update. A hard choice overall.

2018-09-18 05:37:50 +0000 UTCI hope the Carols and Krampus makes it, if only for the holiday season. But then I'm going for Electric East!

2018-09-18 05:37:05 +0000 UTCYeah I love the binder and can't wait to see it fixed up and brought up to where you guys are at now in terms of material
