February Poll
Added 2017-10-18 19:19:02 +0000 UTCBeen a while since we've done one of these, huh?
Last month, we put the finishing touches on Dark Matter, the Shugenja, and the Channeler. This month, we've all been working super hard on the High Seas Update, which is coming out at the end of this month (November 1st). It's hard striking a balance between historical accuracy, digestability, and fun, but I like the direction things are taking.
In December, we're putting out a new base class (most likely the Marshal), and then January will be the Fey Folio!
This month's poll, therefore, is for February. Since the Fey Folio will be a larger release, this month will be a choice between a few shorter projects.
Edit: 1st option should be "51 Magic Items"

I'd love to see Siegeball win but a book of feats, base classes, and a Tome of Spells are ALL very hard things to beat. I personally Am waiting patiently for the day that Warden comes out as a complete class. There's just so much good content and so little time it seems.

2017-11-10 00:45:08 +0000 UTCChanging to siegeball for now

2017-10-24 17:25:36 +0000 UTCI'd go for that deal, but I feel siege ball is gonna be the last thing that shows up as it is always the lowest voted for thing every poll.

2017-10-24 11:31:19 +0000 UTCPlease make my life easier with the spells and I'll devote my life to seigeball spamming. I'm sure I can do some sort of deal with you guys. I vote for seigeball if I see no one does the spells but next month poll we do the spells? I'm desperate. I was building my own compendium at some point but when I saw this I stopped.

2017-10-23 19:56:15 +0000 UTCI really couldn't stomach a summon-an-army type of class. Like, we playtest all of our classes, and that would just slow things to a crawl, which is why I'd like to focus on a familiar if we go that route (though, like I said, it's going to take some work to make it different to a witch.) And, yeah, the transformation class would be a lot like Circle of the Unspeakable, but I'd like to make everything based on your stats, rather than pulling up a monster stat block. My principle problem with the druid is that, though Wildshape is powerful, you also have to keep track of dozens of additional stat blocks to effectively use it. That could almost be mitigated if all the monster stats could be shrunk down onto a deck of cards, but it would be even easier if each transformation gave you a single trait, like in the Circle of the Unspeakable.

2017-10-22 21:11:07 +0000 UTCWell, in a Summoner class I'd probably want less-powerful customization on more than one creature, but it'd really slow down combat. It's sad because having an army of creatures sounds so cool but in-game it'd probably just be boring, so one would be better. And the Lovecraft transforming class sounds really cool. Like the Circle of the Unspeakable but a whole class?

2017-10-22 20:27:28 +0000 UTCWe were thinking about maybe doing a divine class and a transforming class separately (though I know how we'll approach it if we do them together.) The transforming class is just probably going to be more fun with a Lovecraft/freak science bent. The Inquisitor is a pathfinder paladin/rogue hybrid, and it was the first character I ever played, so I've got a personal reason to write it. The Summoner would likely have a powered-up witch's familiar with a customizable features. I really liked the idea of also giving it the ability to merge with its familiar to make a sort of hybrid tank. I'm not /sure/ if we'll end up doing the summoner, because the witch covers a lot of that ground, but it would probably be fun.

2017-10-22 20:13:11 +0000 UTCA Dark Matter-based class would be pretty cool. I like the divine & transforming ideas (I saw a class called the 'Animus' which I thought was really cool). What exactly would an Inquisitor be? Oh, and weren't you guys going to do a summoner-type class at one point?

2017-10-22 20:04:02 +0000 UTCWe did an entire post a couple of months ago asking for ideas, so we've got a pretty rich well to tap into. I don't want to promise anything, but right now, we'd like to build something tailor-fit to Dark Matter; something science-y, but which feels different to the alchemist and artificer. We're working on some features, but who knows if that will pan out into a draft. We're also interested in doing something strictly divine, something that can transform into different things, and (if I get my way) an Inquisitor.

2017-10-22 19:58:25 +0000 UTCIf you guys were to do a new base class, what do you think it'd be?

2017-10-20 09:13:23 +0000 UTCYou might have something there -- if the base class option continues to stand above most of the other ones, I'll pull it out of some of the future polls to even the odds. After all, I'm secretly trying to find every possible way for the Siegeball Sourcebook to win.

2017-10-20 08:46:05 +0000 UTCI will vote Siegeball until I die.... IT WILL HAPPEN
Gavin Coxen
2017-10-20 07:22:04 +0000 UTCMaybe this is just my observation, I feel like base classes are way too tempting as choices. Like, not every campaign will be able to use everything contained in something like siege ball, and modifications to existing classes are good for all campaigns, but something completely new is to tantalizing. Especially when you don't reveal what it might be, I think it unbalances the votes in that regard. Maybe I'm thinking too hard into it, I don't know.

2017-10-20 02:31:25 +0000 UTCThese are all shorter book options, since we tend to alternate big releases with smaller releases. The Complete Gunslinger is definitely going to be a larger release, and it's one I look forward to working on.
