February Update 2024

Hey everyone! Very sorry for the late update. The past 2 weeks have been full of a lot of ”stuff” and I’ve been meaning to make a proper update post for a while.

First of all, I want to thank everyone for grabbing a copy of The Movie Flick Chick Volume 1, because the first printing sold out so fast I had to quickly order a second order within days of it’s official release. It’s been really cool seeing people posting photos of their books as well! Really makes it all feel so real to me. I have been thinking of a few ideas for what I’d like to do for the next print project, but as of now, nothing is locked in. If there is a comic you would like to see get a physical release one day, I’d love to hear it though!

Secondly, in regards to my next comic project, this month I want to do a new story featuring June and Abby getting a new roommate. I think this will be a nice fun and simple followup to my last story which was quite a bit more dramatic.

I have mentioned it in the past but I always feel like each new story is in some ways a reaction to my last one, but I can’t help my brain always seems to want to deviate so much! At least this way you guys always get something different from me.

I was a little disappointed I didn’t have a brand new comic out in January but on top of fulfilling book orders and the general chaos of the holiday season, I think I really needed the mental break to refresh. At least I was still doing artwork to some degree.

To wrap things up, I would briefly just like to mention some of the things I’d like to accomplish in the next little while. I actually purchased Procreate Dreams recently and have fiddled with it a bit. So perhaps down the line you’ll start seeing more animations from me. I actually used to do simple loops a few years ago but as some people know I do all my work on my iPad (I do not actually even own a PC currently), and well regular Procreate isn’t really the BEST program for major animations (understatement). So far Dreams looks like a good improvement but I haven’t had too much time with it yet.

I also want to put up a few more polls this month. I meant to do a bunch all in January, not just the character poll, but unfortunately time just got away from me it seems. I especially want to get some feedback on more books in the future!
