Bud Cort, Ruth Gordon, Vivian Pickles, Cyril Cusack, Tom Skerritt, Charles Tyner

Definition of sublime. I think I first saw this when I was about 10 and it rang such a bell in me as little Wednesday Addams. I laugh delightfully every time I watch it. It's a delightful comedy and for some reason, it also reminds me of the Edward Gorey animation of masterpiece theater... https://youtu.be/CwrIZds3nVM?si=aIXZzT6N6i1KF1lh

The "tattoo" without description is a brilliant move...

at 1:06:00 we get a nice "Alice's Restaurant" like scene but with opposite effect.

Definitely not as uncomfortable as Saltburn. But some eyebrow raising moments for sure.

Ashby also directed Coming Home, Shampoo and Being There- the latter of which is a brilliant, much more compelling version of Heidegger's "Dasein" then the vapid Forrest Gump"

Actuarial Lurker

Slightly less offensive than Salt Burn and funny as hell in a creepy way...Harold is supposed to be 19, Maude 79
