Chun Li - Lineart Progress
Added 2021-03-08 19:29:56 +0000 UTCHey guys, just popping in to show some progress on this month’s Chun Li drawing from last month’s character poll. Don’t forget to vote in this month’s poll if you haven’t already! The poll for this piece’s pose ended up being a tie between B and C so I just went ahead and made an executive decision and picked C (Although if I have the time I might keep B and use it for something, maybe like an extra rougher pinup).
Anyways here’s a bit of a simple breakdown of my lineart progress, starting with a simple rough sketch, to a more defined pencil sketch and finally a smoother inked line over top. One thing I really like though on the pencil sketch is certain areas with a nice gritty texture on the shaded part, and I don’t really want to lose that effect so when I go onto the coloring section I’m going to keep that in mind and try and replicate it somehow.
