Even though the new UI can be made smaller and allows for more unfettered imagery on the screen, I prefer having all the information that the old UI shows up constantly. Makes it easier to play, I think. There are pluses and minuses... The new UI does have some different/better display of some information, but taken as a whole, I prefer the old UI much more for what it shows/how it shows it/when it shows it.

The UI is part of the game and the game is in 16/9. You can't move parts of the game outside the game window to have more visible area. Just not how it works.

Ah! I didn't even know that the old UI was still available. Honestly, I could see myself using it. I have a 21/9 monitor, so I have a lot of wasted screen space on the sides. I wish there was a way to push the UI even more left, so that it doesn't cover the image. (then again, a vertical version of the new UI would be even better)

Nah you are not entirely alone. I use it too from time to time. But Darkhound already knows when, where and for what I use it , so did not feel it made sense for me to vote. But put in one now on team old ;)

For those unsure, - You can in the settings switch between old and new gui. - The old GUI has a large black frame to the left side of the screen, it takes up around 1/5 of the entire screen, so ex. Ivy in the screen shot below would be covered by it, all you'd see is Ivy's leg poking out (and maybe half of Alice). Also the game defaults to the new gui, so only older players or those who have switched manually will be using the old at this time

I use the new one. I avoided using the new one for a while because I was used to the old one, but eventually the new one grew on me enough to make the leap and I'm a fan now.

Frankly, no difference at a glance. I do think the UI could use a little bit of touch up aesthetically but it is functional. In my opinion, it is better it be functional over how good it looks, but it won't hurt to give it a more 'unique' style especially when it comes to choosing options or the dropdown menus on the left.

thanks, I am *definitely* using the new UI. I now remember switching to the new UI as soon as it was available. The old UI had about 1/3 of your artwork covered.

You can switch the UI old/new in the preferences of the game. The default is the new interface. It looks like in all my screenshots from the game.

I guess I'm using the new one since I'm playing 3.1.1. Couldn't even tell a difference to be honest. Sorry if that's an insult. It's not intended to be.
