June 2020 Newsletter, Upcoming Videos, Etc

HEYO!! It's already halfway through June, crazy ain't it? Thought I'd swing by to let you all know what my plans for this month are. 

PS5 vs. Xbox Series X

Since the PS5 was just revealed, I wanted to do a video talking about both consoles, the direction they are heading in, who I think will come out on top this year. Basically, I'll be discussing every positive and negative for both consoles, everything we know and also a little history on how Microsoft & Sony handled themselves in the 8th gen (PS4/Xbox One.)

I have been working hard on this video and hope to have it complete by Wednesday or Thursday! Turns out, this might be the most hyped I've been for a Playstation console since... ever!

The Decline of Blizzard

I really have been enjoying "The Decline Of" type videos. It gives me a chance to revisit some older games that I love and also look into where the companies (Microsoft & Blizzard) have been going wrong. This will be a pretty long video that'll go into every major offense Blizzard have committed over the years and how it's affected their games and people's perception of the company. I will shoot to get this out by the end of June. It'll likely be 40 minutes long or so. I've got a great Deckard Cain skit in mind for the intro. Finally, I get to cosplay as an old man.

Revisiting Halo 5's Campaign?

I never thought I'd actually consider this idea but... here we are. To be honest I am kind of embarrassed by my older Halo 5 review videos. My voice, the way I speak and my general tone are off to me. I was too angry in the videos but I still respect and appreciate them. I just feel like I've evolved as a content creator.

Those videos were the start of what my channel's content would evolve into. I'd really like to go back and do it all over again, though I'll be much more brief in comparison. There might be no better time to do this than with Halo Infinite coming out in HOPEFULLY November or December. I may get to this video before the end of June but I have a lot of family and school stuff happening at the moment. Renn has been busy with his own channel for a while and I really do need his help. 

Pokemon: The Most Stagnant Franchise

This is a video idea I've gotten just recently as I've been playing Pokemon Sword. Finally decided to cave in and although there are many things I like about the game, I just can't believe how long Pokemon has been a stagnant franchise. In terms of game design, difficulty, interface, etc. 

This video would look at what I believe to be the Pokemon franchise's biggest weaknesses and talk about how they could be improved. This would take a long time to put together as I am not going to play through each generation of games to get footage for it so I'll have to get some from YouTube. This may or may not be made, but if it is it'll prob come some time in July.
