Sometimes you really just need a reminder that you aren't alone in everything. Honestly society today really tries to emphasize the "singular" person, when that is hardly the case, and that you can and should rely on your loved ones to be there for you and help you figure things out. I get really in my mind about making decisions, and I bet there are a lot of people out there who feel the same way, so I hope this audio and the reminders in it can help you out if you're having trouble. Guzma: Change is scary......the future and the unknown of it can be......understandably terrifying....especially when it feels like you're putting a lot of your faith in said unknown.....

But that's kind of the thing about the future.....we can make an educated guess....we as people can plan and research as much as we possibly can to try to guide ourselves to the best outcome.....but in the end.....we actually don't know how everything is going to pan out....

-pause-

However.....that doesn't mean that we should sacrifice opportunities and the potential good....just because we're scared that it isn't going to work out....or that something bad will happen to us because of it.....

-pause-

Making decisions whether they be big or small is hard! I'm not denying that.......

Just.....the future isn't set in stone....that's what's kind of amazing about it.....it's never too late to make a decision that can change things for the better.....it's never too late to try....

-pause-

I know that you're afraid that you're gonna make a choice, and because of it, everything is going to fall apart......

And well.....

-deep breath-

As someone who's been in that place.....where....I made a decision that ultimately did not work out great for me......to say the least.....

-pause-

I'm still here.....

Hey, Sweetheart......can you look at me?

I notice that you keep saying "bad" decision.....can you maybe....tell me why you think of it that way?

Well......just because you may end up making a decision that doesn't work out...... doesn't mean that it's inherently bad.....

And....the idea that there's no recovering from it after it's all said and done....

-rueful chuckle-

Frankly that's kind of bullshit.....

Yeah....you may regret it or parts of it in the end, I'm not gonna lie to you.....but that doesn't mean that you can't get up and try again....make a different plan and try that one.....

Sweetheart.....

Society tries to trick us into believing that we should only do something if we're 100% absolutely sure that it's going to pan out for us, and that if it ends up not working out, or you end up not being able to achieve a goal, or follow through on something, whatever it may be....it's going to be a huge catastrophe and you're a failure or you're stupid and don't deserve to try again.....

-pause-

Like I said.....it's a trick......to get you to not trust your own judgements.....and to lower your idea of self worth.....maybe it originally comes from a place of care or worry.....but in the end....it doesn't help....

The reality is, there is no one "right" answer or one "right" way to do anything.....and you cannot be 100% sure about a plan or a decision.....but that doesn't mean that you should let that influence whether you go through with it......

And safe.....doesn't always mean better....

Not to say you should go off the rails without any thought to the consequences of course.....but....you get what I mean, right?

-long pause-

Another thing I'd like you to try to remember is......you're not alone in this.......you don't have to keep it to yourself.....

I'm here for you.....

But I do think you should have a little more faith in yourself......cause.....

You are a hell of a lot smarter and more competent than you think.....

I can help research or talk it out with you.....and help weigh the pros and cons and everything.....whatever it is you think you need to help you make that decision...
