Turquoise rings in particular, are thought to help keep away evil spirits. I think this would be a nice theme that can center a lot around love and protection, as well as success, which can manifest in many forms.
Elder Tree: It is believed that the elder tree is closely associated with the fey as well as life and death, regeneration, and transformation. This tree has long been recognized as a prized medicinal tree, everything from it's bark to it's berries can be used to treat all manner of ailments as well as ward off evil. In this way, people have taken the penguin as a sign that being different isn't a bad thing. Penguins are also famous for their faithfulness and devotion. These birds believe in the idea of a one true soulmate, but are also all about community when it comes to others.
