Taylor was one of her idols growing up and as Taylor has with so many young artist, she helped inspire her style of song writing. Gracie wasn’t well known until Taylor took her out on tour. All the Swifties discovered her incredible talent on the Eras tour and she blew up overnight. Taylor and Gracie are very good friends and it’s adorable the way the they talk about each other. I was lucky enough to have Gracie as the opener and special guest during the surprise songs at Eras Toronto N3. She’s an incredible performer and so humble. Edit: another thing that really connects Gracie and Taylor is that they are clearly romantics that throw themselves into relationships and fall easily. Based on Gracie’s music I’d say she’s falling into the trap of devoting herself to the wrong type of guys, like Taylor did before Travis. Hopefully she’s finds her worth a little quicker than it took Taylor.

I haven't been a fan of hers for long, I heard of her for the first time when she was opening for the 1st leg of the Eras Tour, but I have since listened to her catalogue and I love it. I saw her live last month in Berlin and she is AMAZING live! 2025-03-13 23:38:49 +0000 UTCgood luck charlie is about gracie's longtime best friend (yes, audrey hobert!) & her ex after they split. the opening lyric "you keep a picture of audrey inside of your wallet, went for a drink & the bartender thought she was dead" is just saying that the bartender just assumed that her photo in the wallet meant that she had passed & then "he made you live out that nightmare & you nearly lost it" is saying that charlie was suddenly faced with the thought of what it would be like to lose audrey at all. to me, the song is charlie ultimately losing her but still loving her & seeing her in everything & everywhere.

Killer bridges!!!!! Did you notice “us.” feat. Taylor Swift, is the albums track 5? 🫣 Great catch on how the album title is also referenced in the song! I don’t know enough about Gracie’s lore to speak on her muse for the song, but for Taylor this song references the same muse that the bulk of TTPD is about. Gracie said Taylor was on a short break from The Era’s Tour, and they met up for dinner. Had lots of wine and girl talk about a shared experience in a past relationship, went back to Taylor’s NYC apartment, and wrote the entire song! There is video evidence floating around somewhere that includes a small apartment fire 😂😂 Also- I don’t think you caught that both Aaron AND Jack produced this one!!! Oh, and I also think it’s super cool that the “Audrey” who shares song credits is Gracie’s like literal best friend. Like, from school or something. I don’t believe she’d ever written professionally or anything, they just thought it would be fun to write an album together! If someone knows more about Gracie in these aspects, please share! I’m interested to know more about her. She’s so good!!!
