Taylor Swift - folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions

Movie Night!!! My first big look into Taylor's creative process: The Long Pond Studio Sessions.

Taylor Swift - folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions

Comments

I have watched this for a third time already and in the 15th track "peace", I can't help but think that one of the reasons why Taylor and Joe broke up because she can never give him peace due to her popularity. He cannot take risks like in "You're Losing Me". That's why Taylor is an absolute match to Travis as they're both super popular so they're more comfortable with each other, from my perspective at least.

Jerico Rivera

Not sure if anyone already said this (I‘m late to the party obviously, and I tried to read as many comments as I could), but she did get him back in a small way… in “mad woman” she says “master of spin has a couple side flings, Good wives always know, She should be mad, should be scathing like me, but No one likes a mad woman”… then Scooter gets a divorce… then in Vigilante Shit she sings “She needed cold, hard proof, so I gave her some, She had the envelope, where you think she got it from? Now she gets the house, gets the kids, gets the pride, Picture me thick as thieves with your ex-wife” And that was AFTER his ex wife (then wife) shot her down on Twitter to defend Scooter. Taylor didn’t say anything… just went to the drawing board, found herself sone evidence, recorded Mad Woman, sent her an “envelope” … I meeeean… then Scooter has the guts to say his divorce caused suicidal thoughts. And no offense to anyone that has mental health issues, but that dude climbed over a crap ton of ppl, we just know fully about Taylor bc she’s loud about it. Sooooo, I’m over here just like, get some help, Scootie I‘m just imagining Taylor sending an envelope to Yael ( 🛴’s ex), reading about the divorce, then smiling so big whilst writing vigilante shit. That visual is like a hug from angels.

Anna

Thank you for giving Peace the credit it deserves. It's my favorite on the album. ❤️ I appreciate your reactions and the effort you make to understand her lyrics.

Megan Suchodolski

Is anyone else kinda freaked out at the freeze frame of taylor when Danny’s talking about Mad Woman and all of the red pill toxicity? Her expression is nearly sinister, like she’s engaging with us. Damn Mastermind.

Deebo

Also the crappies thing Scott did in my opinion. He would not let her buy her masters he said he would give her one back for every new album she made for him. So she would constantly be caught in this loop of never owning all her music. It's really diabolical if you think of it from the perspective of she signed a 13 year deal with him when she was 15 years old and was the primary reason his brand new label became what it was. And he sold it to a man that was actively trying to ruin her life. He was Kanyes manager which should be enough reason not to let him anywhere near her masters

Brandi Lemons

After Evermore you need to watch Miss American. It really helps you understand her reactions to things. Like saying she did not know if Justin wanted to work with her. She has been through it. It is basically right up to the point where she leaves her label and the entire master situation happens.

Brandi Lemons

Just an fyi — the end of the cardigan music video actually transitions directly into the music video for willow on evermore. Each album only got one music video so that was Taylor’s way of connecting the two sister albums together. Just keep that in mind when you eventually react to the willow MV.

Eva Warwick

A lot of people are suggesting the cardigan music video before evermore but I think you should watch it after bc the end of the cardigan MV actually transitions into the start of the MV for willow which is a song on evermore. I think you should react to evermore and then react to the two music videos back to back.

Eva Warwick

It was probably the rainiest week in Portugal in a history of forever.. but it was still worth it. Love the country. Now patiently waiting for other TS videos❤️

Evgenia

Your comment on TLGAD regarding the hate that female entertainers get...or the gossip Rebecca Harness got. It's because a lot of men (well some) hate to see women in places of influence, prosperity, power or success. So they will cut them down or belittle them to "put them in their place" as a way to make themselves feel better about their own lack of ____ (fill in the blank.) It's about their own insecurities coming out in a very toxic form.

Shanna

There's a clarity that happens with her live vocals in the Long Pond sessions. I don't know if it's the stripped back acoustics or what, but it just suits her vocals beautifully. This is Taylor in her best, I feel...not that she's not great at pop or high energy live shows, but there's just a magic with her voice, a guitar, a piano.

Shanna

Will I ever meet my husband? (Will you ever come to Sydney?) Great reaction as always! 💘

Madi

Peace is one of my favorite songs on the album I love seeing you appreciate it like I do

Nicolle Swanson

Thank you! I hope you get all of the kind energy you send out back in some way. You are one of the good ones 🧡 much love!

Sansey

She was made fun of that and accused of faking that reaction but Taylor has herself said she is not cool and doesn't want to act nonchalant and take herself too seriously. If you get a chance sometime, you should react to her NYU Commencement address she did a couple years ago. It's so beautiful to see you are already understanding not just her music but who she is as a person, speaks to your emotional maturity as well.

Aastha Sharma

I was the same way. I was a big fun during her country albums then wasn’t a fan of 1989 so lost interest but this pulled me back in then I watched the Reputation Tour and I officially became a huge Swiftie. My 13 year old daughter and 24 year old Step Daughter are huge Swifties to so it’s something we share and talk about. My daughter and I love all the Easter eggs she does and trying to find them

Amanda Arford

I feel like us healthcare workers have collective PTSD from what we dealt with. I’m so sorry for your loss! I’m so terrified of what Elon and RFK junior are doing to push disinformation. The fact that pulled out of the Work Health Organization is scary because it allows other countries to easily share information like with Covid. Removing info from the CDC website is also scary

Amanda Arford

It definitely is starting to feel like Germany in the 1940s the way our constitution is being ignored and people are jumping on the hate train against many groups

Amanda Arford

Thank you for your kind words to us healthcare workers. I was the Director of Nursing at a maximum security prison and we were hit hard because it’s really difficult to socially distance over a thousand Inmates. I really feel healthcare workers have a lot of collective trauma and PTSD. It was so frustrating when Trump didn’t trust Dr Fauci to make recommendations when he was the exact person we needed. That just helped push the hoaxes forward. I lost a lot of respect for people including some family members. Some people were so resistant to the vaccine but all of our inmates were so thankful to get it. I actually ended up getting severe Covid that has cause major health problems to the point I had to go on disability. Now Elon calls people on disability and social security parasites and wants to cut those programs. It’s infuriating that I worked 16 hour days to help sick people and now that I’m sick because of that now I’m at risk of losing my social security.

Amanda Arford

I deleted my Twitter/X account because I don't want to support Elon Musk.

Cynthia Long

I mean this in the most complementary way possible but you remind me a lot of my cat Roscoe....you literally have the same personality 😂😂 sorry if that's weird. He's a tuxedo boy that is very sensitive and intelligent

Baillie Williams

Thank you for seeing me. I don't believe in Final Forms. Everyday is a chance to be better, stagnant or worse. We all have decisions to make. Are we going to learn from the immense amount of BS we've been through, or are we gonna let it eat us up? The fact that you called me out, tells me your journey is similar. So I applaud you too. Keep going. You're gonna get through the shit. Then it's gonna be awesome. Then there will be some more shit along the way, but because you're here and you're choosing to become stronger from your decisions, you'll be prepared and then you'll think "Hey, this ain't so bad. I can really do this." Move with the ebb and flows my friend. Much love 💙

Daniel Juke

well that would be awesome!

Daniel Juke

First, my deepest condolences to your family. I'm so sorry. Yeah it was mind numbing. Seeing people I used to respect just totally lose their minds over it and starting to agree with people that they know aren't smart, but because they think the same way as them... ugh a very irritating time. Exposed how tribal we are. It got worse again in 2024 because of the election. Elon Musk is actively promoting disinformation on a GIGANTIC platform to appease an unqualified administration so that he can keep raking in those government contracts. That's why you'll always see him quoting tweets and just saying "wow" "this is bad" "interesting" because he's pandering to people without certain skills like discernment and logic.

Daniel Juke

Very happy to do so. I will try my best my entire life to make change. Thanks for watching with me 💙

Daniel Juke

If you're on the mobile app, move to a browser. Sometimes the mobile app is glitchy

Daniel Juke

I totally understand the origin of your transformation haha. This was a beautiful movie 💙

Daniel Juke

💙

Daniel Juke

Sounds good! I'll add it to my list :) Thanks!

Daniel Juke

Thanks Evgenia! Happy to hear you made it home safe 💙

Daniel Juke

💙

Daniel Juke

Absolutely agree that it would help with some of the anger issues. Most of those I believe are from the lack of knowing how to express themselves. Never been able to so they just turn to basic instincts. Thanks Isabella! 💙 I can see that about their relationship. It looks very comfortable to just exist with each other. Very important relationship. and this part is just for anyone that sees my response, I misspoke about Lover, the actual schedule is in the chat :)

Daniel Juke

I wouldn't be surprised!

Cynthia Long

Thanks Tiffany!! haha and I just misspoke. Check the chat to see my Taylor Swift schedule :) From now on if I talk about the schedule in my videos and it sounds weird just ignore me hahaha

Daniel Juke

I remember watching award shows, and she would obviously win, and then go up there all shocked hahaha and I'd be thinking "you're Taylor Swift!!!" lol but I think that's actually just a testament to her character. She never felt the need to act "too cool" up there. She always seemed genuinely shocked to me and it always made me crack up. Now that I've heard more of her music it just makes me laugh harder. Like, Taylor, you're one of the greats!! *never* get used to it :)

Daniel Juke

Air it out Taylor! Wonder if that's what led to his divorce lol.

Daniel Juke

Okay yeah that makes sense. Super gross situation. Thanks!

Daniel Juke

Okay :)

Daniel Juke

Sounds good to me, I'll add it :)

Daniel Juke

When you are talking during mad women about the women who are fighting to have women have less rights it made me think of a Tik Tok I saw about how the only reason white women are treated better by the white patriarchy is because white men need white women to make more white men. If those white men could figure out how to make more white men without having to use women white women would be treated exactly like women of color.

Jordan

What's interesting to me too is that a year after Folklore, Jack's wife filmed on location in Panama with Joe Alwyn for a couple of months. I'm convinced that that experience solidified Jack's dislike of Joe and led to the lyrics in Anti-Hero about "talking shit about your famous baby."

Susan

I agree with this. Evermore then Miss Americana. I think it's really hard to grasp the power of Reputation or Lover without the context of all she'd gone through to get there--especially to Reputation. And man, the intro+Ready for It in the Reputation Stadium Tour cconcert movie absolutely MUST have the background info on Kanye and Kim that's explained in Miss Americana.

Susan

Having a hard time atm and your videos always make my day. I have a feeling, you might have had a long journey coming to this place of emotional maturity, self perception and reflection and I want to applaud you for it. It takes a strong person to walk this way.

Sansey

This is random but I hope you watch some of her covers at some point - on BBC1 she covered riptide and a Phil Collin's song, both sooo beautiful! I just love seeing her sing live, she puts a lot of work into it, you can tell.

Holly Vickers

You are so special 💙

reveluvred8

Also fallingforyou by The 1975 has similar lyrics in imgonnagetyouback. Not only the title names all in lower case and all one word but in fallingforyou he sings “All we need’s my bike and your enormous house”. And then Taylor singing “Whether I am gonna be your wife or gonna smash up your bike & Whether I am gonna curse you out or take you back to my house”.

JoAnn Burrage

I agree!

monika

100% agreed, the lyrics Holly just quoted were just so revealing to me! Both folklore and evermore are entirely in lowercase, and who knows what else is in her vault from 1989 onwards since they met!

monika

As a travel nurse working during the COVID-19 pandemic, I was especially concerned about all the people believing it was a hoax. There were conspiracy theories galore! Then there were those who followed the fake treatments seen on social media. Some of those same people died or lost friends/loved ones. It was so sad. I personally lost my mother-in-law and a cousin to COVID-19. It was not fake!

Cynthia Long

I'm so sorry to hear that💔 i know I'm just a patreon follower but I'm here if you need to talk about anything or just vent to someone🫶🏻 also thank you for bringing SO MUCH JOY even though you're dealing with personal matters yourself🩷

The Only Larissa🩷🌸🪩

haha ;D the songs are "'tis the damn season" and "Dorothea" . yeah, i think it is better to know, because while "'tis the damn season" is fine by itself, iwith "Dorothea" you can get a bit confused because of the POV thing (like "betty"). and amidst confusion and trying to connect dots it would likely take away of the song enjoyment a bit

anfilias

Okay :)

Daniel Juke

💙

Daniel Juke

I've seen too much of it with my own eyes and ears to not be empathetic. You will always have an ally here. Thanks, LeAnna! 💙

Daniel Juke

I agree with everyone who suggested the Cardigan video now, then Evermore. It is an amazing video and further cements her as a screenwriter and director.

Sandy Bourdeau

Thank you! I feel like I've experienced enough toxic masculinity for 3 lifetimes lol that's why I'm so against it and why I'm so aware of it. Hopefully I can rub off on some others 💙

Daniel Juke

Thank you :) and you know what? Yeah, tell me the songs haha I wouldn't mind some help beforehand for the next album

Daniel Juke

Thanks, Sandy 💙

Daniel Juke

hahaha might have to make that playlist public one day

Daniel Juke

My body is gonna be a permanent goosey by the time I'm done with all her albums lmao. Thank you, Jacqueline! 💙

Daniel Juke

My heart goes out to you, Larissa. I'm going through the same experience with both of my grandparents right now. Grandma's cancer is terminal and Grandpa's heart & kidneys are failing him. I've been to the hospital and outpatient care facilities over 500 times in the past 2 years. Those people are overworked and stressed. But they keep clocking in and they keep trying. We have a huge problem in our healthcare right now, but it's so awesome to see Taylor speak up and give them the love they deserve. I hope you and your family are able to find peace through it all. Sending you all love 💙

Daniel Juke

We all need a Jack in our lives. For real lol because it's too common what you're describing her. We constantly protect the ones we love even when they're harmful to us. Jack seems like a great friend.

Daniel Juke

I'm really loving everything about this journey :) thank you so much for the kind message 💙

Daniel Juke

NOTICED THAT!!! Love the facial expressions.

Daniel Juke

💙

Daniel Juke

Thanks Cynthia! 💙

Daniel Juke

I'd probably be feeling somewhat like Jack. I'm very protective of my people. Especially good people like her. So I get it hahah

Daniel Juke

the facial expression were epic :)

Daniel Juke

Okie dokie :)

Daniel Juke

Thanks! 💙

Daniel Juke

The very tiny details I know about that situation makes sense to me that you would think of that song. I'll be getting to that doc soon :)

Daniel Juke

Thank you friend 💙 I appreciate your kindness so much

Daniel Juke

💙

Daniel Juke

Very well said friend. As you can see I still deal with some of those internal struggles of just letting people see me be weak. We are conditioned over & over to put up these fronts and like you said, all it's done is stunted growth on a mass scale. Thank you for noticing me trying. If I can positively impact one person, that's enough for me. 💙

Daniel Juke

Hey friend, sounds like your heart is working perfectly fine. I get it 💙

Daniel Juke

I hope this was the distraction you needed :)

Daniel Juke

He did :)

Daniel Juke

Hope you enjoyed!

Daniel Juke

hahaha

Daniel Juke

She had me entranced. That mic is ON!!! lol and thank you :)

Daniel Juke

Okay let me watch Marley & Me beforehand so all my tears are gone hahaha jk but thanks for the warning! I'll be prepared.

Daniel Juke

I'm happy she provided that outlet for you :)

Daniel Juke

This was such a fun reaction to watch, and thank youuu for all your commentary during mad woman and epiphany.. our world is so scary for women right now so really refreshing to see such genuine compassion for it all 🫶🏼🩷

Brianna

would love to see you watch her older docs when you get to her earlier albums. Theyre dated but so fun. Journey to fearless(2010) and Taylor Swift: A place in this world(2006)

Caroline Connelly

can't play this video, is there anyone has the same problem?

Delfi Gunardy

Really enjoyed your reaction!! This film is what solidified me as a ‘Swiftie’ and no longer a casual fan. Cant wait for your reaction to Evermore! 🫶🫶

Brandi Smith

Thank you for your thoughtful reactions. Taylor Swift is very special to me...even as an older woman. I see so much of my past in her music. I love her abundant talent and authenticity.

Susanne Stien Masters

Watching her Grammys performance of Cardigan, August, and Willow (off Evermore) would be great before you move to Lover. Jack and Aaron performance with her.

Susanne Stien Masters

Landed at my hometown mere hours ago and here I am watching this with you. Thank you for being vulnerable, thoughtful and respectful. Your thoughts and comments are great🤍

Evgenia

juke, in just commented that, PLEEASSSSE listen to reputation and THEN lover after having see miss Americana…🥹🥹 🙏🏻

Leonie Thieme

"I keep these longings locked in lowercase inside a vault" and "I swirled you into all of my poems"

Holly Vickers

why tho? 🥹i don’t really think that’s necessary. it would really be best i believe to start over from the beginning once he’s listened/ watched miss americana, rep, and then lover. then he’ll have heard all the newer records and can dive back to the start ;)

Leonie Thieme

I wonder if he should do red tv and 1989 tv before rep

Holly Vickers

Juke! I hope you read this.. as always: lovely reaction, deffo do evermore next… BUT!!!!! 😆🥹 please please please, do not do lover next. i highly encourage you to watch miss americana after evermore, and then you should definitely start with reputation and THEN lover..🥹 i don’t know if you got confused with the album titles, but i would really really stress the importance of doing it in the order i just mentioned… reputation and lover are so highly tied to the start of joe and tays relationship, it really would kinda take a lot from the experience to not listen to them in the correct order. please don’t feel the need to wait for rep taylor’s version. we have no clue when it’s coming, and there’s nothing wrong with streaming the OG versions as long as the re-recordings haven’t been released yet❤️‍🩹 rep was just so insane when it came out. you really should know about the time in taylor’s life that led to reputation, all the drama, all the public hate and scrutiny she had to endure, and in the midst of all that negativity, meeting joe. you get a beautiful sense of that in miss americana, it was filmed while she was still touring reputation and making lover, so it’s just PERFECT to watch it and THEN dive into rep and all the music videos and live performances and lover after that🥹🥰 i’m sure many swifties will agree with my pov ;) big hugs to you 😇😇

Leonie Thieme

We love your emotional maturity and vulnerability! Thank you for being so honest and true to yourself!

Katelyn

Wow😍 what a wonderful watch along this was. I am so impressed with your ability to show emotion. Just like society needs to make changes towards women, i think it also needs to be more excepting of men showing raw emotion. It also helps control anger that many men seems to have today. I enjoyed every minute of this. 🫶🏻 Jack and Taylor have worked together since the 1989 album and are super close. They are like those goofball friends whenever they are next to each other so that kind of explains their dynamic. Sending you the Lover document today so you’re ready after evermore 💕

Isabella Peterson

You’re a beautiful person. I love watching your reacts! Could I ask your thought process for doing Lover after the Evermore album? Idc either way how you do it I was just curious. BTW you are NOT an ugly crier 🫶🏼

Tiffany Randolph

Everyone who meets Taylor says she doesn't seem to have gotten the diva memo like she doesn't know she is Taylor Swift. She is polite, generous, too kind to everyone. Her live performances are always as good if not better than the studio versions. Taylor has said since the begining of her career she is very appreciative of everyone who spends money, travels, makes signs to come to her shows, so she's always going to put everything in her performance to not let them down. Her performances are never like look at me I'm so great, she just wants to tell her stories and embody all the emotions that the song needs.

Aastha Sharma

In the song Mad Woman, she calls out Scooter Braun for having a "couple of side flings." BTW, I totally agree with you about Trump! LOL

Cynthia Long

Check out the cardigan BTS videos too along with it

Aastha Sharma

I am :)

Daniel Juke

So glad you enjoyed!! Just to provide a little clarity and context for the whole Scooter/Scott situation - Scott owned Taylor's former record label so he's the one that sold her masters to Scooter. Taylor had already disliked Scooter and had explicitly expressed to Scott that she didn't want them sold to Scooter so while Scooter is slimy and a douche for everything, the real betrayal that Taylor talks and writes about is much more aimed at Scott. Scott signed Taylor when she was like 14/15 years old and was just starting his label and Taylor is really the reason for his success Taylor really felt love for Scott and they were very close. So when it came to everything that happened with the deal (especially her offering to buy her own masters and her asking for it to not go to Scooter) it really was a major stab in the back coming from someone who felt like family.

Talia Adams

You should listen to Taylor perform the lakes x i hate it here on the Eras Tour! Here’s a video on it on YouTube: https://youtu.be/XL1QNP1nI8A?si=gONwJ9Bwo1b_TigP

Madison

Totally agree. She was keeping it a secret but the lore goes crazy! I was so surprised

Isa

So Taylor said that Folklore and Evermore are not autobiographical buuuttttt, we have come to learn after TTPD that they are in a way. If you know The 1975, there are ALOT of references in her songs that relate to their songs. Taylor & Matty have been writing songs about each other since they became friends over 10 years ago. I think that Covid was the start of the downfall in her relationship with Joe and she was desperately trying to hold onto it and/or she was thinking about another person ‘THE 1’ and in order to write about it she had to put her feelings in “FICTIONAL” stories that are not so fictional!

JoAnn Burrage

Loved this, thank you so much for taking the time to do these Danny! Given how much you loved her talk about the songs, I'd strongly recommend Zane Lowe's evermore interview for after you listen to the Evermore album, it gives a lot more insight into the songs and the creative process involved :)

Nikki M

Man, you should watch cardigan MV before goes to evermore. 🕵🏽‍♂️

Haizathoho Jr

I loved your reaction so much!!! It’s so fun watching people discover Taylor’s music, but it’s extra special and heartwarming when the reactor is unafraid to be vulnerable. Your willingness to show emotion and — on top of that — add such sincere and thoughtful commentary was so wonderful to watch. It truly warmed my heart ! 😊💛

Stevie Penelope

Really enjoyed your reaction. When I first listened to Folklore, "my tears ricochet" didn't grab my attention at all. I listened to it a few times, but a year later, I didn't even remember that song was on the album. I guess I just couldn't see the magic in this song until I watched LPSS last year. Now, it's probably my favourite song on the album (or maybe the second favourite since "the lakes" fights fiercely for that spot 😁). I share your opinion about James' apology in "Betty". That was a lousy apology. And I found it funny that you noticed the tension whenever Joe was mentioned. I have a feeling Jack didn't like him all that much. There is actually a remix of Anti-Hero with the Bleachers and Jack sings one verse (he changed the lyrics), and I think the lyrics are a subtle (or not so subtle) dig at Joe. Can't wait for your reaction to Evermore! Evermore and TTPD are constantly battling for the first spot in my ranking of Taylor's albums, so I'm very curious about your thoughts 🙂

malb901

He is going to fill up that "certified bangers" playlist of his when he gets to 1989 :)

monika

Sending so much love to you, Larissa ❤️

monika

I was looking forward to this reaction so much and boy did it not disappoint :) I get emotional every time I see Taylor talking about these songs and I just knew you were going to love it too. I was right there with you with the sniffles :) Your commentary was once again on point, it is so refreshing to see an emotionally inteligent and empathetic man share his thoughts on Taylor's amazing storytelling about so many important life topics that she somehow manages to pack into these amazing songs. That was the reason I joined your channel and will be the reason I stay even beyond Taylor. I also loved how you immediately picked up the vibe change when Joe gets mentioned by Taylor. I have a feeling Jack knew a lot what was going on behind the scenes in Taylor's relationship here since he is one of her closest friends to this day, and not everything seemed to be perfect around this time. Too bad you are not listening to these albums in order, you can really pick up the increase of sadder themes in her songs (like anxiety about relationships, fighting, even cheating). While not all of these songs may be about her life directly, I think she must have related to these feelings in some shape or form in order to be able to put them into words so brilliantly. That is evident on evermore also, I think it is an even sadder album than folklore and has one of her most devastating Track 5s. I can't wait for you to listen to evermore (my favorite album, my Shayla :)). Thank you for this amazing reaction Juke!! :)

monika

Also, in Mad Woman when she says "and women like hunting witches too, doing your dirtiest work for you" she's referencing a Reputation song that is about the Kim/Kanye situation. The quote is "they're burning all the witches even if you aren't one" :)

Shaunna Elizabeth

Also I love how in cardigan she says "I knew everything when I was young" but in Betty James says "I'm 17, I don't know anything". I feel like she's speaking about how girls are expected to be mature and responsible and boys just get to be boys.

Holly Vickers

long message incoming ☺️ i think your reaction is so special and the emotions are so valid. she writes about so many things and thoughts and feelings and the experience of being a person who deeply feels and it means there’s so much relatability 🥹 if you end up doing evermore next i wanted to give you a heads up on the song marjorie cause it’s so much more impactful with the behind the scenes. marjorie was a song taylor wrote about her grandma who was an opera singer and died when taylor was 13. aaron and taylor were able to collaborate and use marjorie’s old record vocals in the backing of the song which is emotional and meaningful by itself but then taylor went on to add this song to eras tour setlist and it’s so special to see that honoring of her grandma and her grandmas vocal dreams included in one of the biggest tours of all time 🫶🏻 love your reactions, thank you for seeing everything we see in taylor!

madison

🥹 what an awesome reaction! So worth the wait. Can’t wait for you to react to evermore! Evermore has some of the saddest songs she’s ever written (imo) so prepare yourself! Just be aware that like folklore, most aren’t about her, some are about friends, characters, etc. 🤎🧡

Isabel

Get into the lure that Scooter Braun was also management over Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly, Kid Laroi, Demi Lovato and a very others 🫣 so if he did Taylor shitty, there’s a possibility he did the others that way too :(

Bree Drake

It’s so nice to watch someone have the same emotions as me! i’ve seen the long pond sessions a million times and i was right there crying with you 🥹 i think my emotions come from a place of how proud i am of her

Bree Drake

You should react to Renegade by The National, Taylor sings it!! It is heartbreaking, knowing what we know now about her previous relationship :")

Shaunna Elizabeth

it’s so refreshing to see how much you admire her work:) can’t wait to see your reaction to miss americana!

ray

Love this! I just wanted to thank you for being so kind and understanding towards women and the struggles we face. It’s a nice reminder that not every man is out to get us all the time. It’s refreshing to see

LeAnna

Man, it's good to know that there are still men out there like you who acknowledge how toxic masculinity ruins society. I like your thoughts during Mad Woman. Keep it up. Cool video btw.

Btc21

Oh my, I was not expecting this deep reaction. I am really happy you connected with it. Unfortunately there's no Long Pond for evermore, but it has songs as good as folklore even if it is a little more of a disjointed album by comparison (regardless it was still robbed of AOTY). I will give you this headsup because of the whole love triangle in folklore: there are two tracks in evermore that are also connected with each other. I'll only tell which ones if you want

anfilias

I’ve seen individual videos but never the entire film and it was truly outstanding. Your commentary was, as usual, great (even with the briefly muted part lol.) thank you! Now onto Evermore

Sandy Bourdeau

Biding my time until you review 1989 TV 🫶🏼

Sonny S.

After viewing the Long Pond Session several times before, your reaction is the first to make me cry. Thank you for your insightful, honest, and tearful reactions that give a true appreciation for this incredible artist. Your goosies and red eyes slay me every time! 🥰

Jacqueline Goon

Riss, you’ll find me in EVERY Taylor reactors Patreon if they’re worth it hahahaha

Jennie Stout 🐍🖤

Girl what how did you get here too?! 😂😂😂

The Only Larissa🩷🌸🪩

So many songs on this album hit HARD when you're dealing with lifes problems. Unfortunately my grandfather is in hospice care with terminal cancer and specifically "epiphany" sticks out to me right now. Hospice workers go so under acknowledged for what they do. I watched an entire crew of nurses both volunteers and employees there crying over a patient that had just passed the other night as I was leaving my visit😭💔 All I kept thinking is "my god, these people do this every day" Get to know the patients, care for them, socialize with them, laugh with them, cry with them and then have to mourn them. Over and over. What a special kind of human being it takes to do these traumatizing but essential jobs👏🏻❤️ I'm sure it's rewarding in it's own way and I know they all love their jobs, but no doubt commendable, to say the least🫶🏻

The Only Larissa🩷🌸🪩

I cried the whole time too 🤣

Don't worry about the muted mic, it was fine. Loved this reaction. The fact that there was no backing tracks or backup singers, just her voice and the instruments made it way more emotional for me too. And very impressive. Can't wait for evermore (my Shayla 😊) lol my fav album of all time. I always got the vibe Jack didn't like the way Joe treated Taylor. Making her feel like she has to dim her light or make herself smaller to appease his ego. And I feel like maybe she gave him more credit on the album to get them to like him and they could kind of see thru that and felt bad for her. And sad that she felt like she had to give him credit for her writing, as u can see Jack seemed skeptical that he wrote the Exile and Betty lyrics on his own as it sounds like her writing. In that clip it seemed like she was trying to "sell" that he cared about her work to them, when in reality Jack knew he treated her work like a burden to him. In So Long London she says "my friends say it isn't right to be scared everyday of a love affair" and then in FOTSlammer "My friends tried but I wouldn't hear it, watched me daily disappearing", Jack is one of her closest friends and he tends to be very blunt and honest.

OMG Juke yes there is tension I feel too when she mentions Joe! People speculate that Jack HATED his guts, his wife Margaret Qualley was in a lot of films with Joe and saw him on set and stuff, so maybe that played into it?

Was hoping you’d catch the Wordsworth wordplay in the lakes after hearing the explanation. “I’ve come too far to watch some namedropping sleeze, tell me what are my words worth” - not an accident she worded it that way rather than “what my words are worth”. On another note - LOVED this reaction. I cried with you the entire time. I do every single time I watch. So happy you’re enjoying your journey so far and welcome to the swiftie fandom! Can’t wait to continue to watch your journey. You seem like a really good human, who is a light in the world and brings positivity and empathy and I’m thankful I found your channel :) keep up the great work!

hell ya love this rant about toxic masculinity king you get it!!!

at 42:40 when she sings "just not home" you can see the anger in her face. Home was her label. Home was the guy who signed her first, who believed in her, who SHE believed in, who she trusted, but ultimately... she can't go back there.

Absolutely love ur reaction. Seeing ur watery eyes and tears show how much music can brought sm emotions to us especially with Taylor’s music. Never regret adore her as an artist cos every album means something special for me. TIMT for my first listen is not my top 3 but once I saw her explain her pov writing this song change everything. Keep react to her music. Can’t wait to see ur reaction to folklore sister album.

Shafiq

Absolutely loved this reaction!!

Cynthia Long

You're so right- her live vocals rock and I love seeing her expressions when she sings, it adds so much.

broccolit0

YAY I am so excited to watch- thank you Juke!!

Evermore next, please! Suggestion: Use Taylor's Official Lyric Videos. They're so well made, add ambiance, and keep you from reading ahead of the lyrics. Genius dot com is always a great resource for context clues.

Amazing video, I would pay to watch this video in a cinema, it is so deep and beautiful.

reveluvred8

okay, firstly, this was great vulnerability in reaction content is my favorite thing. secondly, i fear you’re unprepared for evermore. it’s even more reflective in my opinion and some of the tracks cut so deep. it’s my favorite album of hers though so i am a bit biased.

kelsie

Wow! What an amazing reaction 💚💛💜❤️🩵🖤🩷🩶🤎💙🤍

I can’t wait until you watch the miss americana doc! ‘Mad Women’ in my head reminds me of the the Kim and Kanye situation

This is the best video you've ever made. I love watching you perform, but seeing your vulnerable side was incredible for me, I admire you so much.

Thanks for this, Danny! I have to get personal for a sec and say—it’s lovely to see you let those tears fall in front of us, embracing vulnerability and staying in touch with your emotions. So much of the harm in today’s patriarchal world exists because men are taught from a young age to bottle everything up and "be tough". That’s exactly how we end up with emotionally stunted grown men—like the ones running this country right now. Women and minorities suffer from the effects of that every day. I appreciate you going against the grain. ❤️ This entire film is a therapy session. Can’t wait for “evermore”. It’s my favorite of the two, and it’ll be fun to see you go into it now knowing that not all of the songs are autobiographical. 🎶

Right here with you, brother. 61 yr old man, here, and I tear up every time I watch this. Stabs me right in the heart.

Kenz

Wow you’re so fast. Can’t wait to watch this tomorrow. Stupid timezones 😂

Isabella Peterson

Also don't at all feel bad for thinking the vocals are better here because realistically they are!! The music is significantly stripped down so her voice is much clearer. Long Pond is the superior version in my opinion🖤 also, i fricken love how genuine you are🥹
