There’s a solo version of the song she did with r k its on YouTube, i would highly recommend reacting/listening to it, its actually - to me - one of the best songs on the album, synth base goes hard, similar to Style by Taylor!

Kelly” only way to hear that one at full quality is probably to check the local library for an older copy of the CD. But the first song “Aura” was originally called “Burqa” (which is why the music on that track has a middle eastern vibe) - told her she might piss off Arabs so she was forced to change it to Aura, but not before she leaked the original version and changed the original opening lyrics from “I killed my Boyfriend and, left him in the trunk on highway 10” to “I killed my former and, left her in the trunk on highway 10”, alluding that the first version was killed. Another thing I’ll add is “Mary Jane Holland” and “Dope” are connected the first being about a drug-fueled bender in Holland, Amsterdam and the latter being about rehab

2025-03-07 01:32:32 +0000 UTCThis album may have had edm elements but it was not widely received well and it’s often said by us fans and even now people who enjoy it more than before, that it was way ahead of its time. It’s been a fav of mine since the beginning and for Gaga it was hard during this time but her Artrave Artpop ball still went on and was recorded for a live stream so I think that tour is definitely a great watch! It’s on YouTube in HD. It was streamed on yahoo at the time. Also “do what u want” by Gaga & r Kelly may not be on streaming anymore but the version of the song with Christina Aguilera is on streaming. I think that song and performance of it on the voice is still worth the listen & the watch!

Went to the artrave her tour in my home town in the UK and it was the best night of my life 🩷 Gaga said about MANiCURE- This song is written, actually, in a couple of different ways. It’s written on the album as “MANiCURE:” capital M,A,N; lower case I; capital C,U,R,E. So, it’s either: “manicure,” “man I cure,” or [like in a song] “MANiCURE!” And this song is about getting ready to go out and catch a man, or catch a girl, you know, to fool around with; and so, while I’m singin’ all about, you know, [lyric from the song] “Put some lipstick on, perfume y’neck, and slip y’high heels on…” this record’s all about gettin’ ready to go out, and your manicuring your body, and your manicuring your spirit, and your mind, and then the chorus hits, and it’s all about being really shooken by this person that you run into; and how you need it, you want it, you have to have it. And it’s just sort of a mantra that repeats back and forth, about how you’re gonna get laid tonight.

The line "The grass eats up my insides and my brunette starts to sprout" is saying that the marijuana takes over her body, and the "real" her starts to come out when she's high :)

If you aren't out of breath by the end of Swine, you didn't listen to it correctly, so good job! 😂 My faves: G.U.Y., Swine, Donatella Sexxx Dreams: She's definitely talking to a woman in a heterosexual relationship, lol but Gaga would absolutely make out with a gay man for fun too. 😂 Donatella is a satirical track, most likely based on how Gaga thinks the public sees and scoffs at people like her and Donatella (her dear friend), and assume they're shallow. Gaga has a deep appreciation for fashion, as you can see (she dedicated TWO songs on the album to it), so it's all meant in jest. "Just ask your gay friends their advice, before you get a spray tan on holiday in Taipei"- lmao I interpret that line as her jokingly saying to ask the gays for fashion advice any time you want to avoid looking like a hot mess! The song is extremely camp! 😉 Now, on a genuinely shallow note (unlike Donatella), the almost-midriff-reveal at 35:36 was my favorite part of the video! Darn the length of your hoodie/tee for blocking my view! 😭😂

So thats why she says her ARTPOP could mean anything, cause it's open to the interpretation of the listener or the audience as well as different points of view of the same idea.
