well damn this definitely should've been promoted earlier!! So fire, but I understand why it would've been locked away. Her talent is unreal. It's gonna be so cool seeing what she does going forward with a big budget :)

2025-03-05 22:30:36 +0000 UTCYeh, I don’t think a lot of people realize. She actually put it on her old channel “iamdoechii” first not her verified “Doechii” channel. And it’s not unfinished on YouTube, it’s exactly this recording you listened to here in this video. I’ve listened to both a lot and from what I can tell she did not make any changes to the original recording from 2019, she just released it as is. Her consistency in her talent and sound is mind blowing to me!

I read that she had an unfinished version from a while ago that she posted to TikTok but didn't realize it was that long ago lol. That one went past me because I've been subbed to her channel for a while. Thanks for letting me know! Sky is the limit for Doechii

2025-03-05 21:42:32 +0000 UTCNot sure if you saw cus you didn't talk about it here but just to wax poetic about how amazing Doechii is, this was not a pre-planned release. She's had this song on her YouTube for 5 years now. There's a video of her sitting on her bed in her room, with her Macbook and a handheld mic singing/rapping it. I love it. It's so raw and real which is of course a theme with Doechii. Anxiety started going viral again recently and lots and lots of fans were begging for it to be officially released so she got with her team to get the rights to release it and just announced the release to her fans on social media as a gift. But yeh, incredible to think she was making music THIS good 5 years ago and it still holds up today like she just wrote it.
