Reacting to BLACKPINK - How You Like That (music video)

JENNIE is dropping this week! So I'm getting to know BLACKPINK some more.

Reacting to BLACKPINK - How You Like That (music video)

Comments

Disappointed I didn't notice that you dropped this yesterday lol. I'm happy to be here now, though. I had a feeling you'd really like their sound cus it's definitely upbeat and dancey. Great, fun reaction that put a smile on my face like always. Now for the information! Firstly, yes Blackpink is a Korean Pop group, so all their music is in Korean. It is not uncommon for K-pop songs to mix English and Korean because they take huge inspo from Western music and they know that it makes it more relatable to a global audience. 1. Jisoo's solo song is called "Earthquake," not hurricane lol She also released a 4 song EP which "Earthquake" is the title track for. The EP is called "Amortage." 2. At 1:43 that's not Jisoo or Rosé. That's Jennie! The hair changes will throw you off for sure, but one tip I have is that Jisoo is easier to spot because she rarely changes her hair. She almost always has long brown or black hair with no variations. 3. Regarding the positions in the group. I don't know where you're getting conflicting information, but I've been a K-pop fan for 14 years, and "Main" has always meant more than "Lead." On all the official profiles, Jennie is listed as the MAIN rapper, and Lisa is LEAD rapper. The "Main" is like 1st place, and the lead is like 2nd place. The biggest difference is that the "Main" position is more likely to get more lines than the "Lead" position. However, I do want to say that these labels are given by the company the group is under, and they're not meant to diminish anyone's talent, just create clear ideas about everyone's roles. Many leads are just as good as the mains, and many times the "Lead" would be expected to take over if the "Main" ends up being absent for some reason, so "Leads" are also expected to be able to do it all regardless. 4. As far as I've seen from the behind-the-scenes K-pop content I've watched, music videos don't normally take too long to actually shoot. I would say they average about 3-6 days, but they are LONG hours, often being anywhere from 12-18 hour days. However, that doesn't include all the pre-planning (location scouting, storyboarding, creating costumes etc etc.) that's involved, which can take weeks. Okay, now I wanna give you a little background for each member since you're getting more familiar with them. 1. Jisoo - born and raised in Korea. She speaks Korean, Japanese, and some Chinese. She's the oldest member. 2. Jennie - born in Korea but raised in New Zealand for 5 years when she was young. She speaks Korean, English, and Japanese. She can also play the guitar, piano, and flute. 3. Rosé - born to Korean parents in Australia and was also raised in Australia. She moved to Korea to train to be an idol in 2012. She speaks English, Korean, and Japanese. 4. Lisa - born and raised in Thailand. She moved to Korea in middle school to train to be an idol. She speaks Thai, English, Korean, and Japanese, and some bits and pieces of Chinese and French. It is not uncommon for some Thai people to learn English as a second language. She's the youngest member. Okay, to wrap up. Some other hype songs are "Ddu-Du-Ddu-du", "Whistle", "Boombayah" and "Shut Down". "Lovesick Girls" and "Ice Cream," are slightly softer, but all their music gives dancey vibes even when it's a little darker or slowed down tbh. If you managed to make it this far, then I applaud you lol. I hope this helps a bit. Have a great weekend :)

Great reaction. I recomend you to Watch the Lovesick Girls music video, is a more softer side of them, more pop. Also the Ice Cream music video with Selena Gómez is cool too.

Enrique Altamirano

I NEED to listen to that asap. I keep putting it off lol but I love the Little Mix and will get back to them :)
