It was held at the shrine auditorium where the final sequence was filmed and goodness I was a sobbing mess. Each time I cry watching this, and I was crying right there with you. Thank you for this and I’m sorry there were relatable elements in this.

I am a drugs addicted. Since I have been clean this movie breaks me more because I realize I almost ended like Bradley's character. Thank you for the vulnerability and honest reaction. Love this

I’m sending hugs to you for any pain this film may have brought up!🥺🫶🏼 Also, an unfortunate fact about the last scene of this film: Gaga got a call during filming the scene that her real life best friend, Sonja, was in the hospital dying so she ran off set during filming to say goodbye to her friend in the hospital but she passed just as Gaga was pulling up. Gaga didn’t want to return to the film set but Sonja’s husband/widower told her that Sonja would want her to finish the film so Gaga returned right back to set from the hospital and finished filming. 😔

It's a very complicated subject that can't be labeled as just one way or another. I felt Jackson was a great man as well and that's why it hit even harder. Bradley Cooper got his big break on the show Alias, and as the director, he hired two people from that show here. His driver, Greg Grunberg, and his therapist at the treatment center who's named Ron Riffkin. Not significant info, but I think it's a fun little bit.

But it's a great movie. The thing about Jackson is that he wasn't a bad man. He was actually a great man. But sometimes great people lose the fight with their demons. That's why it hurts so much to watch him circle the drain. It's easy to write suicide off as the ultimate selfish and cowardly act, but another perspective is that it's quite the opposite. Sometimes people arrive at that decision because they think it'll spare the ones they love of their destruction. It's not the truth, but depression is a dark and manipulative state. Just my two cents.

I know there's 4 other iterations that I haven't watched, but I can't see anyone else in this role now. I honestly don't know if I can watch this movie again haha. 5 out of 5 stars but damn that hurt. Glad you enjoyed friend!

I needed it to get through this film again! 😂😭 Can’t believe I forgot to mention that Bradley directed it! Fun fact: he originally wanted Beyoncé for Ally, but she couldn’t do it because of her pregnancy/scheduling conflicts. That said, you cannot convince me that Gaga wasn’t born for this performance. She did what needed to be done. End of story.
