The Subway coming out reminded me I hadn't watched your other Chappell reactions!

quick context here regarding “California”. She wrote that song after she was dropped from her first record label. so when she says “to think I almost had it going, but I let you down” and “people say if it hasn’t happened yet, then maybe you should go” she is talking about wanting to give up and go home. thankfully she was able to sign to a different label and find the success she has well deserved.

I appreciate those words you said when pink pony club was playing! Let's all be ourselves and encourage others to do the same! Less hate, more love

I hope she does as well! Loved the messaging in this album and her voice is soooooo good!

Chappell is actually an out and proud lesbian! But before she figured herself out she did have experiences with men (that were mostly not that positive) and she doesn’t shy away about talking about those experiences. I love that because while some queer people definitely know from a young age, some of us do have a longer journey of finding ourselves and every part of that journey is a part of us! I can’t wait to see what she does next. Her sound feels refreshing in our age. I hope she keeps it up.
