Emerald: A symbol of rebirth, is also believed to grant the owner foresight, and good fortune. It's also believed to be a symbol of spiritual awareness, protection, love, and wisdom. Emeralds in many cultures all around the world and in ancient history believe that emeralds open your heart and your mind. It represents unconditional compassion, love, and acceptance in every form.
Mental Health Awareness: May is Mental Health Awareness, as always, and has been celebrated since 1949. Mental health is a constant ebb and flow throughout everyone's life, and it shouldn't be stigmatized as a bad thing. We can talk about mental health, how it can be recognized, how we can be informed, and how it can be treated. Also, there are those that believe healthy human contact and/or sexual contact between consenting adults can help with Mental Health!
Hawthorn: Some people view Hawthorn trees as symbols of the ability to express yourself in a unique, outstanding way. In Celtic mythology it's one of the most sacred trees and symbolizes love and protection, and is strongly associated with Beltane. It's also known as the Fairy Tree, as fairies live under the Hawthorn as its guardians, and so was treated with great respect and care. They can live up to 400 years when cared for properly—Hawthorn also signifies abundance, and longevity.
