You’re not far off or thinking too deeply at all!!!! Chappell wrote this song after she moved to LA and went to her first gay club (The Abbey) in West Hollywood where she had a life changing experience! It’s definitely about loving who you are, self acceptance, queer joy, etc. I can’t wait for your album reaction! 🤗 Also, Chappell’s actually from Missouri, I think she mentioned she used the word Tennessee in the song because it rhymed better lol
