RBWFC - Walking Through the Clouds

Confuzzled 2024 - Traditional Sketches

Here's another art dump, this time of traditional sketches drawn at (or just before) Confuzzled. Traditional art definitely isn't my medium of choice but it's always an interesting challenge. I've not much any effort into cleaning these up so they're pretty much all just raw scans from various folks' scanners.

Rainbowwing Fancyclaws 3d render pack 1

I've been working on Rainbow's rig some more this month. I've replaced the wings completely for some new ones which look a whole lot nicer. I've also played around with some renders which hopefully you will enjoy!

The above video was a test of some basic animation and I think it worked quite nicely. With a few extra pictures from the same scene below!

Vapour - Continental Crush

With two coloured pictures in one month, Vapour's been having a great time! April showers have made her huge enough to stroll across the planet, entire countries vanishing with each step.

She's always a delight to draw and it's been a while so after not being able to pick between two pictures, they were both finished!

Vapour - Troublesome Skies II

Okamitsune - Sunny Steppies

Lucarina - Troublesome Skies

Fang - Reaching Up High

It doesn't matter how high up you may be, Fang seems to have a way to reach up to those heights!

It has felt like a bit of a while since I drew a big looming perspective shot of Fang, so after the sketch for this worked out nicely, I figured this was a great opportunity to remedy that, while practicing extreme perspective at the same time!

Okamitsune - Betwixt Wolfox Toes

Lady Charity the super-huge Suicune super-goddess spends a lot of time inspecting the biggest pantheons ever built, making sure they're sturdy and durable to the point of being theoretically indestructible. Why, you might wonder? Well, because that means they'll hold up better when Sunny grows on by! They're both a lot too much, but they like to keep places mostly intact when they visit.

Zoro - Watchful Eyes

Picking up the entire landscape with a single paw, Zoro could keep a close eye on the entire city.

This is a picture I sketched up as a commission for ShinyZoroarkGod a few years back, which he's now asked for colourised.  I really enjoyed the sketch so I was more than happy to oblige. Zoro has a really interesting design which I hope has translated in my style well!

Onyx - Sitting Pretty

Onyx' relationship with the tribal villages she looks after is mutually beneficial to them.  They get a giant guardian, she gets tiny friends who make her look pretty.  

It's always lovely drawing sunsets and sunrises with my prehistoric cast as the colours really work nicely with their fur.  I'm not sure I've ever drawn anything before with colours quite like this so it's always lovely to experiment.

3d Model Process - Rainbowwing Fancyclaws

It's been a year since I started learning Blender and where I made the Vapour model. So I wanted to commemorate that by making another model.  So with Mechamaw and Vapour models available, who would make a sensible third character to create?  Perhaps Fang, or Erika. They would both enjoy smashy. Luca would be a nice option. Or what about Rainbowwing Fancyclaws? That makes sense right!

Zenythia and Aerisis - Stratospheric Stroll

It's been a while since I've drawn something for Eclipsis, so here we have Zenythia and Aerisis going out for a little stroll over the entire landscape.  With platforms and paws the size of theirs nothing can stop them!

These two are two of my favourite characters from Eclipsis' cast and it's always a delight to draw them.

Also included is a "walking on reality" alt version which is one of Zenythia's signature things to be doing at this point!

Erika - Learning to be Loud

Erika has been practicing her space guitar a lot in her spare time, almost certainly annoying the neighbours in the process.  While school and education certainly aren't of interest to her, she really enjoys finding different ways to express herself and music is certainly that!

On the plus side it keeps her from smashing things for a few moments!

Pawperty Damage - Vapour and Mechamaw

Outside of drawing I've been working on trying to make models of my characters. I planned to upload a few renders of them but never quite got around to it.  Mechamaw was actually made a few years ago in Blender 2.8 - i then updated that model slightly optimising her for running in Unity.

Those mechaboots of hers make absolutely short work of buildings!

Britt and Feyeloc - Pint-Sized Gryphon

It looks like it's Size-Shenanigan Saturday down at the Beast, where at least for Feyeloc here the drinks are 10 times as big and the same price as normal!  A yard of Ale would normally make her quite happy, but a bottle three to four times her size should keep her busy for most of the evening!

Is Feyeloc small or did Britt scale the entire Beast up? That's up for you to decide, either are just as plausible!  Either way, she's delighted to get a Massive Gryphon!

Erika - The Horizon Breaker

When life gets busy, it's always good to take occasional breaks, like going for a nice relaxing walk in the country... or in Erika's case in here, on them - stepping over the curvature of the planet's horizon with every step.

It's nice to go back to basics every now and then and let Erika go do what she does best - look colourful, cute and cataclysmic all at the same time.

Okamitsune - Local Fashions

Formal visits with the AEsir can always be quite eventful. But even more so when it’s both Okamitsune visiting and when they have requested that all deities dress appropriately for their meeting. Sunny here took it rather literally and found herself a neat outfit like the Gods of this pantheon where, and it doesn’t matter how big the pantheon is she always seems to arrive a few orders of magnitude too big!
