Charli is a millennial and she makes music for millennials. Welcome to what the gay boys at the gym are listening to on their AirPods.

Thank you for letting me know. I liked the way she's keeping her memory alive in Club Classics too.

Thanks for this Joel! Like you said, I started to catch on later that she was talking about A.G. Cook (wow their production is awesome I need to look up more of their work) in Club Classics. RIP to her friend SOPHIE. That's a very cool way to keep her memory alive. And wow! I was actually thinking of Julia Fox during that song hahaha

Just going through the reaction, I think it’s important to note a couple of things! The people she references in Club Classics; A.G is A.G Cook who co-produced most of this album as you’ve clocked on to, George is Charli’s fiancé who is the drummer of The 1975, and SOPHIE was a close friend, music producer for many artists and collaborator in Charli’s previous music. She passed away in 2021, so subsequently the lyrics to ‘So I’ are referring to that relationship and friendship that was sadly lost.
BRAT is super diverse, dynamic, unique and is a great reflection/blend of Charli’s club & dance roots, fuck-it attitude, vulnerability and current stage in her life. The production, the energy and the pop-cultural impact is certainly the markers of why it’s nominated for AOTY. Took the world by storm, and had a Summer named after it 😂
Also, ‘I’m so Julia’ is a reference to Julia Fox. She’s everywhere, she’s a trend setter, she’s hot and she’s friends with Charli lol
