Added 2024-08-08 00:25:05 +0000 UTCA crazy storm struck my area on Tuesday. Iβve been lucky in the past to avoid direct hits from tornadoes, as close to a couple blocks over, but this was the first time itβs actually hit. It was an actual insane experience. My neighborβs tree snapped and hit some power lines and fell on top of this cheap little greenhouse I built a few months ago haha. That burst into flames. Power lines flailing in the wind. 911 was down. For some reason my brain didnβt think that could be possible. So if you didnβt know, 911 has a back up line as well and apparently that was down too. Finally got through to the fire department and they did their thing. It was/is a mess. Luckily thatβs all thatβs been damaged and everyone is okay. My power has been out for over 24 hours though. My energy company said my area probably wonβt get power back until the 10th. Just wanted to give an update because I probably wonβt be uploading the next couple days. I hope everyone is safe out there.
