I've spent the past few weeks working on a bunch of stuff for Greenhouse, but most of the work has been planning out chapter 3.
I'm taking my time to make sure I don't miss or forget to add anything. It's easy to make changes in this stage but the deeper I get into development the harder it will be to correct issues or add anything. So yeah, it's pretty important that I set things up correctly.
As of right now, this is what the decision tree for chapter 3 looks like.

As usual, it's split into parts 1 and 2. (I do this so that my dialogue system doesn't become overwhelmed) I would say the tree is 95% locked in, but I might still make changes at some point down the line.
It's a pretty lengthy chapter, it should be the longest so far if the player decides to explore everything. There are at least 8 new scenes, each with their own unique twist. I won't get into what exactly takes place in these scenes obviously but I'm pretty excited to write and draw them. ;]
There are several new items in this chapter and each of the items left from previous chapters gets used in one way or another. So players who have collected certain items will be rewarded, although they aren't necessary to beat the game.
I've also spent a little bit of time thinking of ideas for 3 new minigames.

(^) Falling platforms! Player must hop from platform to platform as the randomly fall. Pass by catching a falling heart.

(^)Defend the cage! Player must fend off vine invaders. Pass by stalling long enough for heart meter to fill.

(^)Stay on the trail! Player moves quickly over the path and must use arrow keys to stay on. Pass by following the path to the heart.
That's it for the new minigames.
The next stage of development is for me to further brainstorm and outline the details of the story before I begin in depth writing.
