The last one you had ventured out into the hardly-known some time ago. Hours, days, and weeks have lost meaning stranded in this land of no light. You only know that their chances of survival plunge each second past when you felt they should have returned.
The dark beckons.

Two details that, for me personally, seemed off: the steps in the very beginning seemed either too slow (for a standard walk) or too fast (for someone looking around / looting). And when running at the end, it would have felt more realistic and more natural had there been accelerated breathing to match that pace.
