Young Justice Theme

Ugh this theme really frustrated me this week. I'm not really happy with how it turned out, there was something about the electronic noises and the drums etc that was really difficult to replicate. I tried to layer it up with a lot of guitar parts to try and replicate the feel of the original but it never felt right. I tried to bring it back to just the main lead parts but then it felt too bare, and when I layered it up it felt way too busy and muddy, so I tried to reach a somewhat halfway point but I'm still not too happy with it.

I just finished the first 3 Uncharted games and just bought Uncharted 4 (it's 60% off on the PS Store!) so next week I'll be tackling the Unchared 4 theme! After doing some research I found out that Nate's Theme 4.0 is an unofficial fan-made song made back in 2012 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YEZhF_98cIc) but the one I want to cover is the one from the opening credits of the game, it has a lot more energy to it and I can already picture how it would sound on the guitar. The song itself is called "A Thief's End" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlM2wf6OHKk) So I hope you'll enjoy that one next week!

Never heard of Young Justice or its theme so not familiar with it, but after a quick listen to the original I can definitely understand some of those sounds being difficult to replicate. Nate's theme on the other hand I'm familiar with, despite not having played Uncharted beyond some demos. I find myself having less and less patience for games that try to tell a story as that's what my books, tv shows and movies are for. Games like Uncharted, The Last of Us etc get a lot of praise, but I just keep arriving at the feeling of "stfu and let me play". Saw the PS store sale, and ended up getting Ghost Recon Wildlands to see if that has enough lack of a story to keep me entertained πŸ˜ƒ. Kinda want to get Horizon Zero Dawn as well; sold my physical copy to Gamestop after the story annoyed me, but miss the combat system for random grinding sessions. In any case, Nate’s theme 4 being a fan thing explains why I can’t find the original xD. It’s a shame, the fan versions of that are far superior to the official A Thief’s End track imho. I figured it was just missing from the original release out of normal stupidity of game companies – some soundtracks have been a massive pain to find, such as that of the SOCOM games, and there are still tracks I just haven’t been able to find anywhere. Fallout 4 for instance has an end scene variant of the theme which is just different enough that I want it in my playlist, but it just isn’t available anywhere: https://youtu.be/KxeulGetDlU?t=5m20s Anyways, looking forward to hearing your take on A Thief’s End!
